We just returned from a wonderful holiday weekend in Bar Harbor, made all the better by Ann's Point Inn. In terms of B&B's, this place is in a class of it's own. Upscale and modern amenities with an incredibly personal touch. The owners have a clear passion for what they're doing and it shows. The property is located a decent trek from "downtown" Bar Harbor (about a 15-20 minute drive), but that really adds to the charm. Terrific breakfasts, wine and cheese tastings in the evening, fresh cookies at night….What more could you ask for. We stayed one night in downtown Bar Harbor to get the feel of the town, with the rest of our stay here, and it was a perfect combination!

Ann's Point Inn far exceeded our expectations!! This four star B&B is located in quiet, secluded part of the Mt. Desert Island, with a fantastic waterview just right out the window. It is completely renovated. The room is very spacious with high ceiling, and beautifully decorated. Indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna are extra treat, indeed. The innkeepers, Jeanette and Alan's commitment to quality and excellence came through loud and clear on every detail. The breakfasts were great! with many options, yogurt, granola, muffins, pastries, fruits, gourmet main dishes, juices, capuccino and latte!!! In comparison to other B&Bs we stayed in, the breakfasts were very generous. My husband and I were absolutely delighted to have stayed in this inn where we felt completely comfortable and relaxed. I would highly recommend Ann's Point Inn to anybody visiting Acadia National Park.

My mom and I stayed at Ann's Point for 2 nights during a 4 night stay on Mt. Dessert Island. I have stayed at maybe 50-70 B&B's over the years. Ann's Point Inn in Maine is near the top of my list. Why?

It has location- right on a point with wonderful water views. It has luxury AND comfort - the rooms are spacious, very clean and appointed with anything you could possibly need from a fully appointed bathroom to fresh baked cookies on a plate near my pillow at night.

It has great food- the full breakfasts were high class, tasty and the daily "wine tasting" with treats was such a treat, that we made it a point to leave off our site seeing in the afternoon and get back to the house for a second afternoon of local wines and cheese tastings.

It has amenities- an indoor pool and a well stocked guest area with refrigerator, microwave, munchies and water bottles.

Best of all, it has great hosts- Phil and Lesley were kind, humourous, and very knowledgeable about area tourist options. I was very grateful that Phil lent me a laptop to keep in my room so that I could check the status of Hurricane Ike which tore through Houston during my 2 night stay. My husband, home and family made it through okay, but since communications were down, I depended on that laptop to go to local Houston news sites for information.

This is really an exceptional B&B, and after our subsequent 2 nights in Bar Harbor, we wished we had planned our entire 4 nights on Mt. Dessert at Ann's Point.

Beautiful location and great views. Quiet, out of the way but convenient to Acadia, etc. Great amenities with the spa and terrific lap pool. Innkeepers Phil and Lesley are great chefs and very nice people. Well worth the money for someone who wants to decompressm or just get away but be close to everything. The rooms are spacious and well kept. I'll be back!

Ann's Point Inn is a special place with very special hosts. A little off the beaten path, it affords luxury and the chance to enjoy the natural beauty of Mount Desert Island without all the crowds of Bar Harbor. Lesley, Phil, and Brownie open up their home for guests to enjoy and make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Lesley is a wonderful cook and spoiled us with her attention to detail - even candlelight at breakfast! The wine/cheese provided each afternoon and the home-made cookies at night were an unexpected and much appreciated touch. Our room was very nice, clean and well-appointed (fireplace, soft robes, slippers, VCR/CD player). We will definitely plan another visit to Ann's Point Inn. (make sure to reserve well in advance as there are only 4 rooms)

We had the most wonderful second honeymoon at this lovely place. We wanted to get away from the crowds of Bar Harbor and yet have all the amenities of an upscale inn. We have stayed in numerous Inns and B & B's throughout the country, and Ann's Point Inn quickly became one of our favorites. Lesley was a most helpful host seeing to our every need, making reservations for our dinners, and offering wonderful advice and tips. She was also unobtrusive and gave us our privacy. The breakfasts were absolutely devine, especially the blueberry pancakes and bacon, and we loved the wine and cheese hour and the hot cookies delivered nightly to our door every evening. We will be back!

We were truly delighted by Ann's Point Inn. This was a refreshing change from all the victorian styled environments of the many other B&Bs we have stayed in Maine. Lesley, Phil and their dog Brownie were great hosts - inviting but in no way intrusive. We would recommend the Mallard Haven room as the shower and jacuzzi tub set quite a romantic tone to our time there.
