Our hostess, Elizabeth greeted us upon arrival, although we were early, our beautiful room was waiting for us. While not huge, The Green Room was certainly big enough and the bathroom was so large that you could have put another bed in it. The inn itself is not airconditioned, but the fans do the job of keeping things comfortable. The window A/C in the room did the job and was not too loud. Although it was 80+ outside during the day, we were able to open the windows at night a feel the pleasant Maine air. Our bed was very comfortable and the linens and towels were plentiful. I would recommend this inn.

We checked into Inn at Bath on a warm day for Maine and at first I was disappointed because the downstairs was only cooled by fans and the fans were not doing the job. (Being from FL, we are used to walking into AC on warm days hence instand cooling.) However, our room was very spacious (we had the lavender room) and joy - a window AC unit which we turned on before we put our suitcases down. The room was clean and the bed was comfy even though a little sweaky because of it's vintage. The room had plenty of space for a loveseat, reading chair, vanity and chair (which I really appreciate because so few B&B's have that and fighting hubby for the bath mirrior can be tiresome), a dresser and two large end tables along with a king size bed. The room had a TV, DVD player and there were movies you could watch. Outside our door was a computer and printer so we could print our boarding passes for the nextg day. The breakfast was filling and the dining room was spacious and beautiful Elizabeth, the owner, works hard to keep such a vintage place in good condition. She seems like a very nice lady.

Since we are from the west coast, we did not know what to expect when we came to the Bath area. Choosing the Inn at Bath for our accommodation was the best thing we could have done. This lovely inn is in a wonderful neighborhood and is within easy walking distance to a town with charming shops, wonderful restaurants, and lots of history. The rooms are lovely, the bed was so comfortable, and the inn is very quiet. The breakfasts were excellent. Elizabeth, owner and innkeeper, is VERY knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area and takes the time to make sure her guests are getting the most from their visit. She provides everything from information to recommendations to bug repellent and sunscreen! We loved the town and the inn, and would definitely rerun to both should we happen to be in Maine again!

This large, historical home has been transformed into a comfortable, relaxing, cozy, hospitable B&B that exemplifies the charm of the owner-hostess Elizabeth. Scheduling our trip to the Maine coast just before the busy summer tourist season, we were the only guests for the night. While a light rain fell during the evening, we enjoyed reading in the casual comfort of the common room. Elizabeth's breakfast was a wonderful mix of fresh fruit and an open-face breakfast sandwich of farm-fresh eggs, hand-picked local greens, and bacon. The inn is very close to the attractions of Bath that easily rate an extended stay -- we visited the excellent Maine Maritime Museum and the quaint shops and restaurants of downtown Bath.

Room Tip: Upstairs, Victorian style rooms are airy and light. The downstairs nautical-decor rooms are better for large family groups since they connect.

We had spent the better part of a week house hunting all over Maine, staying in expensive hotels, prior to staying at the Inn at Bath. Our first two nights in Elizabeth's bed and breakfast were the best nights sleep we had had in a week. Great room and really comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and Elizabeth catered to my wife's food allergies.

We were going to spend the next night in Portland but instead asked Elizabeth if she had room for us one more night, fortunately she did.
