Unknowingly, we arrived five minutes before lunch was set to close. Never did they make us feel like we were a burden.

One of the best bacon, cheddar, hamburgers I've ever had. The bacon was so good, my husband took his off the burger and ate it on its own. The burger was cooked perfectly and was very juicy. The hand-cut fries were lightly seasoned and crispy, just like I like them. I had the GuS (Grown-up Soda) pomegranate soda...slightly sweet and refreshing. Service was quick and very attentive.

Solo Bistro is that lovely little restaurant in an appealing town that has a nice menu, nice wines, good cooking and fair prices. The one you frequently think you've found but then are disappointed. Not this time.

This isn't a life changing culinary experience, but is a very good meal. The menu is well constructed with plenty of choice but not overwhelming (btw - it is a nice change of pace from the heavy chowders and lots of "lobsta" in the region, wonderful but tiring). The cooking is thoughtful and carefully executed with nicely developed flavors. A little bit of a light hand but not delicate by any means and the portions are right sized. Lots of selection on the wine list and so nice to see $7 and $8 options, too frequently a thing of the past.

The service was pleasant and the right level of attentiveness. Our server was one of those nice 20 or 30 something young people who love food and can talk about it articulately. Our bill was under $70 for two before tip. We had the duck dish, quite good and the prix fixe 3 course dinner which was red fish that night.

Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and probably worth a detour.

Interior a blend of urban chic and 70‘s decor. Food and service not memorable. More 70’s hooked rugs could cut down on the ambient noise perhaps. Environment felt a bit staged and cold.

I had lunch here the other day. For $14, they have a three course fixed lunch. The first course was a cumin carrot soup. The soup was very smooth and velvety but the cumin drizzle overpowered the dish. The vegetable sandwich was delicious, as was the cake for dessert. would have given an excellent rating except for the heavy hand with the cumin.
