“Mid-century modern gem in a picturebook fishing village”
Reviewed 30 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

This is a supremely comfortable home with beautiful and surprising design details and artwork in every room. But, the star of the show is the dual-level deck with 180 degree views of the working harbor, Jonesport and bridge. The changing light, the breeze and numerous fishing boats drew our attention throughout the day. The large kitchen made it easy to cook for ourselves but, just a short walk away, the Bayview Takeout counter serves up delicious lobster rolls and fried seafood to eat on the short or back home on the deck. It's a short drive to Great Wass Island where you can hike for hours in the boreal forest and along the secluded rocky coast. Bring binoculars for bird and seal watching! The village provides an opportunity for shorter strolls to view the cute cottages and fishing piers. Blueberries and raspberries abound in the summer. Rich and Julie were gracious hosts, checking in to ensure that we had everything we needed during our stay. (And don't forget to spin Louis Prima on the working turntable while you are there!)

“This is a beautiful, stylish, comfortable home in the heart of a downeast island village.”
Reviewed 18 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The owner, Rich, was, more than accomidating. From his initial email about the home, directions, to traveling tips, he has thought of anything you would need or ask. He was available for questions and making sure you were comfortable. The home was a beautifully redone 1890's period home. It is very comfortable and interesting. We enjoyed the water view from the deck and balcony. You are in the heart of a downeast island village, incredible sights, salt air , and people. We certainly will visit again. Thank you Rich!
