Our accommodations more than exceeded our expectations. Photos don't do it justice! Stepping into room #202 melted away any anxiety we had about our first ever stay at a boutique hotel. Upon entering the foyer of the room you notice the beautifully polished hardwood floors, the classical music wafting thru the air from the Bose stereo and the impeccable decorating. Upon looking further you'll see the gorgeous granite tops in both the kitchen & bath, stainless steel appliances and large closet space (3 total). Small nuances such as dimmer switches on many of the light fixtures, complementary refreshments, and plush bath robes were appreciated. Innkeepers Judy & Ed are wonderful, kind people. Each morning they arrive with your sumptuous breakfast which they set up on the island in the kitchen: it was delicious! Everything is homemade, from quiche, blueberry pancakes & Judy's special apple bread to fresh yourgurt & fresh fruit cups. Their dining recommendations were spot-on. (Chase's Daily, in Belfast & Francine Bistro, Camden were our favorites.) Had we known what a special place the Belfast Bay Inn is, we would have planned to stay longer. Make this Inn your base and travel to Bar Habor (1hr,20min), Camden (16 miles) or Bangor. We will defintely return!!

Belfast Bay Inn & Luxury Suites in downtown Belfast is one of the finest places we have stayed. Innkeepers Judy and Ed are wonderful and you feel like you have known them forever! They made us feel so comfortable from the start! We arrived early and to our delight our suite was ready! Spacious, very clean, comfortable and so very luxurious. Home made breakfast delivered to our table in our suite at our desired time every morning. The food was delicious, perfectly prepared and the presentation was gorgeous! The location was perfect smack dab in downtown Belfast which is so very quaint and fun! We can't wait to return again and again!

Probably the best Inn on the East Coast. This is the top of the line. Ed and Judy are the most gracious hosts and the property is simply fabulous, from the well appointed rooms to the cozy courtyard. We were there for three nights and wanted to stay forever. Beautiful cooked breakfast served in our room made our stay truly memorable and we cannot wait to return next year.

We picked this hotel based on the great reviews on this website, and we weren't disappointed. This hotel far surpassed (in the quality of both the service and the accommodations) any hotel I've ever stayed in, including an official 4 star hotel (Mandarin Oriental) I stayed in earlier this year (not in Maine). (The price was better than the Mandarin Oriental, too!) The suite was huge, beautiful, clean, QUIET, and comfortable, and the owners, Judy and Ed, were extremely nice and helpful.

When booking the reservation we had a hard time picking the room we wanted. The ground floor rooms are slightly cheaper, but we thought maybe they'd be noisier, being at street level, so we booked a second-floor room. I haven't seen the ground-floor rooms, but having now seen the outside of the hotel, and experienced the well-insulated walls and windows, I doubt that noise would be a problem, even at street level.

I friend recommended the Belfast Bay Inn as a wonderful boutique hotel on the coast of Maine. I am so glad that I decided to stay there. The location of the Inn is perfect in Belfast as it gives the traveler easy access to the town. The Inn itself is beautiful. The suites are luxurious with all the comforts of home (and many that I wish I had at home). The Innkeepers, Judy and Eddie, are thoughtful, knowledgeable and very gracious hosts. The breakfast that was served was unbelievably good. I can still taste the homemade blueberry pancakes with warm syrup and the apple cake.
I highly recommend the Belfast Bay Inn it is the perfect place to stay and I can't wait to return.

Just got back from a weekend get away in Maine, and stayed in this inn for 2 nights. I have stayed in many luxurious boutique hotels before, and never wrote any reviews. But we had such a wonderful stay that I need to write it and let the whole world know about this great Inn & Suites. You can find the attention to detail in every room everywhere, and the owner Ed and Judy are so genuine and try to make your stay as perfect as it can be. Every suite is luxurious, classic, spotless, spacious, functional, comfortable, and has it's own character. We decided to stay in this hotel based on the great reviews from this website, and found out that all the reviews were true. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all of my friends, and hope to return in the future.

Eddie and Judy are the best, friendliest hosts we have ever encountered. Suites are beautiful and clean. We have stayed numerous times and have always left feeling happier and more relaxed. A MUST STAY for COASTAL MAINE.
