“Good Food, but Extremely Cramped”
Review of Belfast Co-op

Belfast Co-op
Ranked #6 of 60 Restaurants in Belfast
Certificate of Excellence
Price range: US$8 - US$10
Cuisines: Healthy
Description: Every morning look for a variety of items to start your day. We serve egg and cheese based breakfast sandwiches and burritos, as well as baked items from local bakeries. We offer a fantastic selection of organic and fair trade coffees from local vendors in a variety of different roasts as well as organic and fair trade teas. Eggs, bagels, breads, gluten free breads, and tofu are all locally laid or made. On weekends the deli offers breakfast from 8:00am to 10:45am. The breakfast menu is an expansion of our breakfast offerings during the week including eggs any way, omelets, home fries, breakfast burritos, huevos rancheros, and a daily breakfast special. All selections are or can be made vegan or gluten-free. In addition to our standing menu, the deli crew is always busy cooking up specials, hot entrees, pizza, burritos, and soups to wow the imagination. Utilizing organic and local vegetables, local breads, clean meats, and natural and organic raw ingredients, the deli strives to offer the healthiest mix of good food around. Have to grab something on the go? No worries...we've got you covered. Choose something from our service or grab n' go cases. These items are meant to be quick, easy, and nutritious. We've got something for everyone and it always hits the spot!

“Good Food, but Extremely Cramped”
Reviewed 31 July 2014 via mobile

The food is good, however is tries to hard to be "local". Presentation could be improved. The dinning area is too cramped for people with mobility issues. The staff are friendly.

“Can't wait to go back!!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Such a great coop!! What a treat to find this adorable cafe inside. The woman who helped us at the counter was so awesome. She was friendly, helpful, and even remembered our names on our way out! The food was fantastic - I got a piece of quiche, one of the best quiches I've ever tasted. My significant other had the breakfast burrito which was also fantastic.

Delightful experience - we can't wait to go back! Coops are the best!

“Recommended for local and good quality food”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

It carries many locally produced foods. You can find meats and cheeses from local farms, jams, cookies, milks from New England's producers, a good selection of wines, a very good selection of herbs for infusions, teas, organic products, homeopathic and natural remedies. There's a cafeteria and simple restaurant where they offer a variety of dishes, no table service, wi-fi free. It's small, go early or expect standing in line.

“Delicious Everything!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

We went in to grab a few sides for our on the wharf picnic and loved all they had to offer. They had a great selection of food, cheeses and wine, what more could one ask for. It was easy to find, no problem to park and once we checked out all the really great stuff inside we were able to cash out in a blink and on our way.

“Best Coop Ever”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

This coop is always looking for fresh food sources and offers the best selection of any coop I've visited in Maine. Great breakfast and lunches everyday with tables to relax and eat; large deli and baked goods selections daily, fresh local meats and fish and produce!! Their wine selection is the best in Belfast. Great local ice cream selections, cheeses, dairy; and large GF food selection which I use - on shelf and in freezer. I shop there year around; can't imagine like without this Coop!
