We were there for one night last weekend. This hotel does all of the important things right: it was clean, beds were comfortable, checkin was smooth and has a good location for skiers. It is, however, tired looking. The upper deck and front needed painting, looking a couple of years over due. Our balcony, though nice, had no furniture and a huge spiderweb from the deck rail to the roof. The blinds in our room were partially broken and the very small bathroom had a large chip on the formica counter front. The most disturbing item was the blind's cord which was a continuous loop, a choking hazard for small children. Being there between seasons and for such a short time (for a wedding) we were unable to experience the gondola ride and other activities, most of which started two weeks later. During ski season this is well located for skiers on the mountain. We ate dinner in the Camp restaurant off the lobby and thoroughly enjoyed our food and the friendly staff. The area is dead this time of year. We attempted to go to the Black Diamond for breakfast as there was a breakfast menu on line but it was closed on a Sunday morning.
