First let me say this is now called Phil & Mikes. Mike opened this year on Father's Day weekend. You step directly into his immaculate, spotless kitchen to place your order & pay. The $9.95 lobster roll contains chopped/shredded lobster & is packed on a lightly grilled roll. Also try the wonderful seafood chowder he makes. Other menu selections include haddock sandwiches, hotdogs, etc as well as homemade blueberry pies & whoopee pies for dessert. There's no waitstaff or inside dining but plenty of room on the covered porch or covered picnic tables. If you are looking for friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere but don't want to pay the high prices others charge for lobster rolls, you can't go wrong. Phil & Mikes that up on a little hill just north of Boothbay Harbor on the east side of Rte 27.

Stayed here for a week and just found it on the way out of town. Worth the stop in or out. But making the trip will save you half what they charge in Boothbay.

This is a basic lobster roll shack on Route 27 just north of Boothbay Harbor with no dining room seating or wait staff. They offer a great lobster roll at just $9.95. It’s easy to understand why this place is so so busy. The lobster roll is not chunks but chopped lobster and I like it the best of any I have had.

We stopped here on our way out to pick up our last lobster roll for lunch before heading home. Very good, but also different. The lobster meat is shredded, but packed in to the roll so you get plenty. They are closed on Tuesday, open at 11 a.m. the rest of the week. Definitely worth a try for half the price of any of the others.

It used to be just “Phils” but, unfortunately Phil passed away and now his son took over. But, don’t be disheartened! The place is still an excellent stop on the way to or from Booth Bay. It is now called Phil and Mikes. Same location.

I was just there a few days ago; we actually made a detour off route 1 and drove towards BB to get lunch there. As always their version of a Lobsta’ roll does not disappoint! It’s well priced, and delicious. But want something that is out of this world? Have their Seafood Chowda’. Oh My Goodness. It is just amazing! Large fresh clams, shrimp among other things in there, in a super creamy, delicious mix. My mouth is watering now just thinking about it.

The shop is small. Very small. You can order inside then pic a seat at one of the outdoor tables or go around the side by the parking lot and there is another covered area with five or six picnic tables. The place is always clean and tidy — especially the kitchen.

Stop by and enjoy the Lobster roll, but Oh My you have to at least try a small bowl of the seafood chowder!
