For 20 years we have spent a week at Boothbay Harbor and only recently have discovered the Thursday Farmer's Market on the Commons green near Bette's Fish beginning at 9AM. The 25 or so vendors are individual artisans selling their own produced goods at generally higher than normal prices. The uniqueness, display and quality are high and so is the experience of shopping there and supporting the producers directly and not the usual mass market supply chain. Free tastings of unusual products are available at many stands. Overall it is a neat event that one should try in a grand location. You never know, It might be something to float your boat and get you going on those lazy Maine mornings not to mention the possibility of snagging a delicacy to savor while enjoying those beautiful Maine days.
