The CM Botanical Gardens is easily one of the most beautiful places you will visit in a long time. It is clearly a labor of love for the many volunteers and employees who work here. The gardens are beautifully maintained and carefully detailed and described. There are many nooks and crannys to get lost in. The children's garden is a dream. The kids could have easily spent half a day there. If you're visiting the midcoast, the CMBG is certainly worth a visit.

“Ditto the other Reviews”

Who would have thought such an outstanding garden complex tucked away on the Boothbay finger down Highway 27!!! But there it is and worth the trip. Lots of education to soak up along with the gorgeous views. Plus a children's garden. If a Botanical Garden is your thing, this is one of the best.

The Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay is truly a must see when in this region of Maine. The gardens are breathtaking and continue to grow and become more and more incredible every year. Our children LOVE to children's gardens (which are huge and interactive!) and the Five Senses Garden. No matter what the weather, we go every single year. You will not be disappointed - be sure to visit!

“Not To Be Missed”
Reviewed 3 July 2014 via mobile

If you are a gardener or just love to visit beautiful places, don't miss this gorgeous spot along the Maine coast. There are several formal areas and many trails to keep you occupied for several hours. The gift shop is wonderful!

If walking is a problem there are trams that travel around throughout the grounds with very friendly drivers. We loved the Hillside Garden, the Rose and Perennial Garden, and especially the Children's Garden. There are interesting art objects scattered around the grounds, and the trails are well groomed and easily traveled. The Garden of the Five Senses is wheelchair accessible with raised beds. Yesterday there
was a group of vision impaired gardeners working there.

We'll be coming back again soon!
