The first thing you see when you approach the hotel is a gigantic fisherman in his yellow slicker raincoat and yellow hat welcoming you to his Inn. When we went to check in, we were greeted by Carol at reception. She was very nice and friendly, as were all the staff.

We were celebrating our birthday so we treated ourselves to one of their corner rooms with a view of the bay. We were on the second floor. All I can say is that it was absolutely spectacular! We went out on the wrap-around balcony to see the whole bay. It was one of the most beautiful views we ever had in a hotel room. Incredible and amazing are just a few words to describe it. There are chairs on the balcony but as it was already Fall, it was too chilly and breezy to sit out. We had a nice large nautical-themed room with 2 beds. It was very comfortable. The bathroom, although on the small side, served its purpose. When we rested in the afternoon, before dinner, we had all the curtains opened wide just to drink in the magnificent view.

Because we were at Brown’s two days before the restaurant was closing for the season, instead of being able to order off a menu and have wait service, a nice buffet breakfast was included with our room. They offered pastries, bagels, muffins, coffee cake, fruit, a waffle machine, juices, cold cereal, and scrambled eggs. I would have loved to have tasted their blueberry pancakes as I heard they were delicious but that was a menu item. We did eat dinner in their restaurant but I will post another review on that separately (it was great).

The location of Brown’s is terrific, just around the bend from the center of town, close to shops and restaurants. There is a huge parking lot in front of the hotel so there was always a place to park. They have an elevator so that makes it ideal for those not on the first floor. Just across from reception is a nice size sitting area with tv, books, a stove-type fireplace and computer. There is also coffee available there.

We can’t say enough good things about Brown’s. We just absolutely loved, loved, loved it!

Brown's Wharf Boothbay Harbor, Maine We opened the door to our room and it was BEAUTIFUL! We left the slider door open all night to hear the water and noises of the harbor. Plenty of parking, restaurant adjacent, dine indoors or out, great food!
A very pleasant stay.
Not too far from L.L. Bean in Freeport, Maine!
I'm ready to go back for more LOBSTA!

Brown' Warf has an extensive menue where anyone can fine something good to eat. If you like lobster you can get two or three cooked to perfection. Their steaks are very tender and cooked to your preference. Friends have stayed at the warf many times and find the accomodations pleasant and comfortable at a reasonable price.

We enjoyed our stay at BWI. Is is clean and has plenty of parking. The views of the harbor are most charming. Ask for a room on the water. They had a good place for doing laundry. You can walk to everything in town. The breakfast was very good. Agree with others that the bathrooms need an update, but it is what you would expect in such a place as BBH.

We have stayed at this motel about five times. We have made Booth Bay Harbour one of our once a year destination. We some times think that we should stay somewhere else, but always decide that Brown's has everything that we are looking for. We love the location, and always get a room on the water, it is always so interesting to watch the boats coming and going, especially the fisherman. If you like a little exercise the footbridge, that takes you downtown is just a short walk.
All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have breakfast every morning in their restaurant, they have the best Blueberry Pancakes and Oatmeal, our 9 year old grandaughter will attest to that. They have a nice little bar, if you like you can have dinner served there. The bartenders are always very friendly. Our room was very nice, we had a balconey with a view of the water, a must for us. The bathrooms are small but adequate. We will go back next year.

Nice place to stay, has the charm of earlier days and is close to everything. The staff were very friendly and so accomodating. Because we were there before the in season, there was a complimentary continental breakfast it was delicious and offered a wide variety of foods.. Can't wait to go back

The rooms were very clean, but they were in serious need of an update! The furniture was antique in style and the bedspread looked like something you would find on your great grandmother's bed. The rooms could get away with being described as "quaint", but the bathrooms really need to be redone. The management should start with providing you with better quality shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The views from the rooms were wonderful, providing you don't mind sitting out on your balcony with all of the other guests of the hotel (not much privacy). The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room. Great views!!!
