The hotel is a bit old and run down. The room was fine and comfortable, but our kids ran barefoot on the 2nd floor walkway outside the room and got splinters....so be careful. There's a nice interior yard, so you can sit on the balcony and look at the great views of the harbor, the best part of the hotel. Unfortunately lots of old folks here and they smoke, so if you don't you won't like all that smoke drifting upstairs :-(

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Boothbay Harbor Inn. Just wish we could've stayed longer and would definitely go back. The staff (Paul and cleaning staff) was great. We really enjoyed dinner at the restaurant. The food was exceptional and Raymond, our waiter, made the experience even better. Next time we go we'll spend the extra money for a deluxe waterfront room to make our stay even better....

Room Tip: 2nd floor Harbor view

We had a quiet room with a balcony on the top floor. The staff was helpful and informative about the area, which we appreciated. The view of the harbor was wonderful during the day, and the lights across the water at night were pretty, too. We could see a white Catholic church not far from us. Around 6 PM the bells in the tower rang. For us this was a bonus in the quiet of the early evening. In the morning the breakfast buffet was excellent harbor side. Hats off to the chef and everyone, who worked diligently to make it so delicious. We would stay here again given the opportunity.

We only had three day to spend in beautiful Boothbay but enjoyed every minute of it. Our room was a good size. Really clean and a nice bathroom. They have their own restaurant so it makes it easy for breakfast which is excluded . Our room was on the side facing the walking bridge . We sat out there in the afternoon and watched the walkers and the boats go by. Lots of kayaks and paddle boards .
We had two lobster dinners while there. Really good.
My only negative was when we went back to our rooms the beds were not made just sorta pulled together. Everything else was nice. Good location for us.

Room Tip: We asked for two beds and got them.

We enjoyed the location of this property which is located right on the harbor and within walking distance to the main part of Boothbay Harbor. We enjoyed sitting on the deck off the room and watching the boats come and go. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. The property could use some updating particularly in the common areas. The breakfast that was included was adequate for our needs. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant one night. Again, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was fine. However, for whatever reason, there were only 2 other people in the restaurant.

Room Tip: Pay the extra cost for a room facing the harbor.

Its like walking into a Norman Rockwell painting. Very quite and peaceful. Boothbay Harbor Inn its
self could use some updating, maybe remove some (or all) of the mole in the bathroom. But it lives up to the standards of an old Inn on the bay. Loved being able to walk right to the foot bridge from the Inn.

Room Tip: Always ask for the top floor with a view of the Harbor
