The land trust has many day hikes that are worth it if you have the time. My favorite is Porter's Preserve on Barter's Island. It's an easy relatively flat walk with some wonderful vistas of the Sheepscot River. Also consider Oven's Mouth which contains steeper inclines. The only reason did not give this an excellent rating is that I consistently encounter dogs running at large even though there is a leash requirement. So if you have smaller children keep this in mind.
I'm not sure if it's still available but the Land Trust published a trail book a few years ago and it's worth the price. The Boothbay Harbor Library or Sherman's Book store may be able to help in that area.
Also bring along mosquito repellant!
