This was the first time we have stayed at the Inn but DEFINITELY not the last. Anywhere else that we have stayed, their first concern when you check in is getting a copy of your charge card, going over all of the rules, registering your vehicle and getting you away from the check-in desk. The total opposite is the case here. Ben greeted us immediately upon our arrival. We asked about registering and he said not to worry about that and instead asked if we had any food alergies as he showed us around the property explaining all the amenities and then asking what we wanted to do and recommending places and restaurants to us based on this. We stayed in room 1 in the Admirals Quarters and felt like we had our own private home at the ocean. We had a private entrance and sliders onto our own patio overlooking the harbor. Each morning, we sat out in the rocking chairs or chairs on our patio drinking coffee and watching the harbor wake up.
The accomodations were very comfortable including the bed. There were free coffee, soda, and juice available all day and delicious cookies at night. The breakfast that Ben prepared each morning was five star quality.

Room Tip: I would definitely book room 1 in Admirals Quarters again. You do not see other guests except at bre...

Our room was a bit dated, but very clean, comfortable, and quiet. There was a small balcony with a small view of the harbor and a big beautiful maple tree next to it. We felt as if we were in a tree house as we sat sipping wine and watching falling stars. Very friendly and accommodating owners and the porch on the Admiral Quarters had a stunning view of the harbor. No need to get in the car to drive anywhere, for the boutiques, restaurants, and all one needs is right there. Our only complaint was that the breakfast was unappetizing and we couldn't eat it because we couldn't find the toast part of the French toast because it was loaded with sugar and butter.

This is a fabulous place to stay. Service, quality, location - perfect! The hosts are everything one would want in B&B owners. Very friendly and helpful but inconspicuous unless you need them. Our room had its own entrance and was on the second floor with a private balcony overlooking the outer harbor. We didn't need the AC the entire time we were there and we realized we didn't once turn on the television. Now that's a vacation! The wifi was a bit weak but I didn't care. Breakfasts were fabulous. Coffee and tea via Keurig are available 24 hours as well as juices and sodas. A cold buffet of pastries, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, hummus and fixings, and juices are set up as you arrive in the dining room. The daily hot offering is listed on the blackboard. Once you sit, fresh fruit, yogurt, and homemade granola are brought to your table followed by the hot entree. We had pistachio (I think) encrusted french toast, asparagus frittta with bacon, and blueberry pancakes with sausage on the three mornings we were there. The location is smack dab in the middle of Boothbay Harbor just steps from all the activities. Park once and walk, which is a major advantage in cramped Boothbay. During the day on Sunday we were subject to loud live music from a nearby bar which rather ruined our pleasant day sitting on the balcony reading but that's not the Inn's fault. We visit BBH a lot and I've always been fascinated by these buildings overlooking the harbor. I'm so glad we stayed there and this will definitely NOT be our last time there. I don't think there's a bad room in either building. (Greeleaf Inn or the Admiral's Quarters. Two buildings; same property.) Thank you, Jeff and Ben!

Settled on the Greenleaf Inn/Admiral's Quarters just a few weeks before an impromptu weekend vacation to Boothbay. I called and spoke with Ben when reserving and he informed me that he didn't have one room available for two days, but could arrange a room-switch for our 2nd night. Housekeeping would move our bags over, etc. He was friendly and very courteous on the phone.

The Inn was easy to find once you get into Boothbay, and the added bonus of being able to arrive, park the car, and not get back into it the entire weekend but still able to experience everything was FANTASTIC. Everything was within a short walking distance, whether you want to take a Harbor cruise, do some daily shopping, enjoy the many restaurants and eateries, or just sit by the water and take in the sights and sounds of seaside relaxation.

The breakfasts in the common room were amazing. Not too filling or heavy, but plenty of food to get you started on the day and very tasty. One of the things we greatly appreciated on the trip were small refrigerators stocked with juice/V8/tea/coffee outside of the rooms. Beats tap water, and it's perfect for us forgetful folk who end up having to run out late at night to find a vending machine or a gas station. That little detail made the evenings much better.

The views are amazing with the whole Harbor spread before you, the sound of seagulls, and general peace and quiet. The atmosphere was absolutely perfect, and even spending an hour in a rocking chair on the outside deck soaking in some sun and the fresh air felt like a perfect use of time. All in all, it was comfortable, convenient, and high quality. We are looking forward to going back next year and every year after for a perfect weekend escape.

Room Tip: Spend a few bucks extra and treat yourself to the AQ rooms.

Beautiful rooms, ocean views. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. We never had to move the car as everything is a short walk including restaurants, sailing, art galleries and shopping. Owners are very hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfasts included fresh fruit, pastries/bagels as well as alternating sweet/savory main dish. We had some type of apple French toast and quiche. Both were wonderful. Our roomWAS cleaned and made up in the time we ate breakfast. Bed was very comfortable.

There is a reason we go back to the Greenleaf Inn again and again. The people are wonderful, the rooms beautiful and clean, and the food is delicious. We book early with friends so we can stay in the rooms that share a semi-private deck with a classic view of the Harbor. The location gives you easy walking access to the harbor (and all of the stores/restaurants around it) and if that's not enough entertainment, the inn is a great launching pad to all there is to do in the greater Boothbay region. We try to find one new experience a year, and guess what has happened? We keep having to extend our stay so we can continue to fit in all of activities that have now become part of our Boothbay tradition. It's always a joy to come back to the inn after a busy day because the rooms and porches are quiet, calm, and relaxing. Visiting the Greenleaf makes for a perfect getaway. See you next year.

Room Tip: We have only stayed in two different rooms and they were both lovely. We pick rooms in the Admiral...

First time to Bootthbay Harbor, actually first time to Maine, and we feel lucky we chose the Greenleaf Inn, thanks to Trip Advisor reviews. Great location, easy walk to everything, and a wonderful view of the harbor from our small deck (We were in #7 in Greenleaf bldg.)

Breakfasts were as tasty (loved the asparagus and gouda frittata) as they were bountiful, with fruit and yogurt served along with a hot dish each morning. Complimentary coffee (Keurig), juices (pineapple and v8) and sodas available all day, a big plus for us. Jeff and Ben, our hosts, were very friendly and customer service-oriented. Good A/C in room. Wifi a bit slow, but manageable. Highly recommend this B&B to everyone!!

Room Tip: Great view from Room #7 small deck, but you need to be willing to climb stairs (and well worth it...
