My husband and I just came back yesterday from Secrets Maroma in Rivera Maya....OMG the best vacation ever! This hotel is all inclusive, top shelf alcohol and the best food ever! The staff goes above and beyond to cater to your needs. we can't wait to go back next year! Beautiful place! If you are deciding between this place and another, pick Secrets Maroma for sure! Be sure to bring at least 1 nice dress/skirt and guys should bring at least one pair of dress slacks as they have dress codes for a few restaurants

This was our second hotel in our vacation and we were delighted by how beautiful the resort really lived up to the pictures on their website. They welcome you with a hotel towel and sit you down to check in to your room. The beach area is gorgeous, it reminded me of Hawaii.

The food was also very good, especially their Italian restaurant Portifino (Rogelio was great). A hidden gem is also their Coco Cafe, with Araceli. It had the best coffee drinks and roast beef sandwich.
We were upgrade to the preferred lounge and really enjoyed the free internet, cocktails, and food served all day long. In the pool area, there is food passed along in trays all day long. Service is really quick for drinks.

The room was spacious, beautiful, elegant, and perfect for honeymooners. When you order room service, they use a secret door so you are never interrrupted.

We really didn't go to any of the entertainment events at the resort. We stayed at Secrets Maroma for 5 days and 4 nights. We loved it there and would go back in a heart beat.

We checked out of Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun at 8:00 am central time on Saturday, 6/26/2010. An Olympus tours driver picked us up at 8:30 am from the lobby for our trip to the Cancun Airport. We took our last picture at 8:20 am in the lobby of the resort. We securely placed the camera away into a zipped black carry-on personal bag. The camera was a Kodak digital in a small black vinyl case, our name and address was attached to the bottom of the camera with an address label. Our black zipped bag approx 13" x 19" was located in the rear baggage area of the Olympus Tours van. We placed 4 total bags in the van at 8:30 am. The driver went on to Secrets Silversands Resort at 8:45 am to pick up another couple. All three couples were asked to sign for our bags while still traveling to the airport by the Olympus driver. We removed our own bags and wheeled them in to the Cancun Airport. We checked our 1 large bag and went on to the checkpoint scanners. We wanted to take a final picture of our plane for our grand children and the camera was not in the black bag. We went through our 2 carry-on bags thoroughly while waiting at the C16 gate before boarding the aircraft, no camera found. The camera is not as important as the pictures of our 30th wedding anniversary which are irreplaceable. A bad ending to a perfect and beautiful trip. NO PICTURES. We hope something can be done before we make a formal posting on the internet about Olympus Tours and not to Book thru Cheap Caribbean.com due to security reasons. The Better Business Bureau will be notified. We did purchase travel insurance and noticed a clause for baggage and personal effects $1500. The value of the camera was $400.00. The missing pictures, priceless.

There is nothing bad I could say about this resort. Every single person went out of their way and bent over backwards to do anything we needed or could ever want. They treated you like family. The room was gorgeous and always clean. The pool and beach area were so relaxing, and quiet. There were many different places to eat, that all had great food. The spa was above and beyond my expectations. So very relaxing! A wonderful place to escape to. I will definately be back soon!

Secrets Maroma definitely exceeded any expectation we ever could have. The staff was amazing, the food was excellent, and the resort was clean and gorgeous. We had no problems while we were at the resort and we had the time of our lives. There is always something to do and you are waited on 24/7. We loved this resort and will definitely come back.

We have been to alot of all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico and by far Secrets Maroma Beach is the best!
Highly recommend a swim out suite - we were in building 15 which was ideally located for both the pools, beach, restaurants and entertainment.
Food was excellent in all the restaurants.
Best part you don't have to get up early to make reservations (like at Riu resorts).
No reservations (except at Himitsu - for the Teppanyaki table).
If you go dinner before 8 p.m. - probably will be seated immediately - if not given a beeper to let you know when your table is ready.
Entertainment was the best we have had at an all inclusive.

If flying from St. Louis, MO highly recommend flying USA 3000 - non stop - 3 hour flight.
Only bad thing is flying home - have to leave resort at 7:25 a.m. for a 10:45 a.m. flight - this is due to the airport rules - not Secrets Maroma Beach.

I have just got back from my honeymoon at the secrets maroma and I had the best time. The hotel is stunning and the service is unbelievable. The staff go beyond their job descriptions to help you and whatever you need they will get you or do it for you. When you're lazing around the pool you have no reason to get up, only to go to the toilet!! They bring you drinks at bedside, fruit skewers and even ice creams to you while you're floating around the pool! The theatre was good and they put on some good entertainment for your stay. The restaurants are excellent, inparticular Himitsu the japanese restaurant where you can have the chef cook your meal infront of you. The rooms are lovely, we had a swim out suite which was amazing for those scorching days when you want to wake up and literally get straight in the pool! The beach was beautiful but we spent most of our time by the pool on the comfy beds! The only thing that we werent happy with was the service Thomson provided for us and we will NEVER use thomson again. We were seperated on our flights even after pre booking our seats online and when we got out there our rep did nothing to help us sort our flights back out. We spent alot of time on the phone and emailing Thomson and nothing was done to help us, just to warn anyone who would like to sit with their partner on the plane journey, Thomson regard sitting one behind eachother as seats together!! Other than that we had a great honeymoon and if you are thinking of booking Secrets Maroma...do it!!! Just don't do it with Thomson!!!
