In a tiny seaside town in rural Maine, one might even say "exurban" Maine, you are tickled to death to find a place open in early June. But little Brooklin (spelling correct), Maine is one of those places. The Cave sells sandwiches, nice wines, goodies like baked products and pates, cheeses, all in an old home converted to a store. There are vintage furnishings in each room and gifts, did I say wine? On the porch outside you can sit and eat or have your coffee and relax. Lovely place.

They recently changed their name to Sandy's, but a great little deli filled with yummy foods (try the Rat Cheese) for lunch or snacks. Los of wine and friendly staff, too!

The cheese selection at the Cave is unique as any that you'll find in most cities. Their rat cheese is the best I've tasted in fifty years. In two weeks I went through two pounds. When I left, I took two pounds to Cincinnati in refrigerated bags.

The wine selection is much greater and well selected than one should expect in a small but picturesque town. Thei coffee is to die for as are their. Baked goods.

Seriously, the Cave is well worth the stop

Stopped by to purchase cheese - excellent selection along with many other things. On sale are cakes, cookies, biscotti, wines, bread, pate, chocolate, olive oils, etc. etc. etc. Quite the gourmet shop.

Cup of espresso freshly made was superb. Quite reasonable pricing. Recommend.
