We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 1 night while coming back from Munnar and we liked this hotel very much.

Location - Conveniently located on the Warriam road, quiet close to Marine Drive and Ernakulam railway station. We took a walk in the evening to Marine drive. The hotel is located in a very peaceful locality just around 50 mts from the main road.

Facilities - The entrance and the lobby was simply awesome. They have done this in quiet a magnificent manner. The staff was courteous and they checked us in within 5 minutes.

Rooms - Rooms were nice and cozy. Our room had a view of the backwaters. The bathroom had a bath tub as well.

Restaurant - We only had break-fast from the restaurant but it was a sumptuous platter. Lots of option in the menu.

Overall a nice hotel with polite staff.

The first time you see Travancore court you wont notice that that was a hotel at all!!!!!........At first a bellboy comes and picks your luggage up and takes it to the lobby..........they dont waste much of your time there since the booking is fast if you know the basics of booking......then we were guided to our rooms by the booking manager himself!!!!!!! (the first time i experience such a kind of service ).........the bellboys dont ask for a tip unless you give them!!!!!!!.The room is spacious.........we stayed at the executive suite.........the bathrooms are excellently maintained!!!!!!!the restaurant is very good with very decent pricing!!!!! It has Wi-Fi connection working properly!!!!!!!

The only thing i disliked were the swimming pool and the Gym......the swimming pool was very small and unhygienic and is located at the top floor ( The view from the top floor is AWESOME ).......the gym is also small with only 2 treadmills,1 multiuse and a set of dumbells!!!!!!!!

Its worth a stay for not more than three days!!!!!!!!thats all

We stayed at Travancore Court for 2 nights as part of the Adventure Company "Tropical South" tour. First impressions are good. There's a decent lobby with a seating area, opening out into a spacious coffee bar where you can also get pastries and light meals. The main restaurant is on the first floor for both the evening buffet, a la carte fare, plus breakfast. I didn't eat there in the evening but can vouch for the breakfast which had all the usual Indian and European choices, including good fresh omelettes.

The rooms are huge! Mine had a reception area with three leather armchairs, a 28" flat screen TV (with BBC World) and a separate cloakroom / toilet. The main bedroom was a decent size but largely filled by a king size bed. Off the bedroom was the main bathroom with a shower cubicle (no tub). I compared notes with most of my fellow travellers and our rooms were broadly similar. Contrary to another review here, there is free wi-fi: the signal is a bit weak in places but once you get the right password from reception, it does work. The room aircon is efficient and quiet. I can understand the comment of a previous reviewer that the rooms were dark and gloomy: I was happy to accept that as the style of decor, but a few splashes of colour (scatter cushions, pictures) would have helped. But now I'm looking for problems!

The location is great: 2 minutes walk to MG Road, the main shopping area. Ten minutes in the other direction and you're alongside the river where for just a couple of rupees you can get the ferry across to the old part of Cochin.

I took a copy of the rate card and at RS 3000/- for a single (rack rate) it's a snip.
