Grand serves the best n authentic kerala lunch in cochin...been there a few times..the seafood was delicious.. worth every penny.. the place is always crowded n that's testimony to the taste. ..pricing is quite decent n parking is never a worry there
Hotel Grand is situated on the M G Road which is in the heart of the city. I have been staying in this hotel since 2007 part of my business travel. Even though i opted other hotels couple of times due to other reasons this hotel scores number one in my list. Close to railway station and is about an hour drive from the airport. The rooms are neat, clean and very well maintained, This has been one hotel where i love to take a hot water shower which is available 24/7. This hotel is very well known for its food and its great taste. Slightly expensive but right from their fish curry meals to anything you order its awesome. You need to taste it to believe it. Couple of their restaurant staffs need to learn how to behave to their guests, great food taste alone does not give you good experience.
Surprisingly their travel desk rates are quite reasonable.Old televisions at few rooms needs a change. My request to hotel management is to change the current DTH that they have been using, it sucks sometimes. Earlier they had a good range of items in their breakfast menu, but now it seems pretty ordinary. Some improvement would be appreciated.
Overall its an great value for money with the facilities provided. Grand will always be my choice for its food and clean rooms.
We didn't stay at the hotel but had most of our meals there . Food was excellent . Authentic Kerala food . Loved the condiments and the payasams !! The sweet lime soda was my fav!. Anyone who visits Kochi has to eat there at least once ,
There were a few waiters that were very nice and friendly . The other half of the waiters were not that friendly and had an attitude .
Bang in the middle of the long MG road, stands the Grand. Its been around long & has earned a name.Our stay was comfortable, rooms neat, staff very friendly & helpful. The main restaurant draws in a big crowd for lunch & dinner.And on weekends you will have a little bit of a wait to get a table.Obviously the food is good & hence heavy footfall.Me & team were on business & stayed for about 6 days. Located very well in the main shopping hub of the city.My only suggestion is for more choice in breakfast. And also a gym for the workout-holics..Keep the good service going!
Amazing food menu and pretty decent rooms. Worth every rupee. The restaurant and bar has a wonderful ambience with excellent service. Try diff fish dishes as they are authentic Kerala style. Biryani is also superb. Recommend for family and solo travellers. Very close to the railway station.
If you want to taste good kerala food then Grand hotel is the best place to eat
It's neat clean and has very good service
At grand you should try out the fish and prawns for the non veg
For veg there is the regular kerala thali which has all varieties
For clean neat and good service you should visit grand next time u are in cochin
