Excellent college art museum, giving a nod to both contemporary as well as classical (e.g. Assyrian, early American) art. A recent exhibition was on when we went: Gottleib’s photos of jazz musicians, with the music of Ella and Louis, Django Reinhardt, Billie Holiday, and others in the exhibition room. It’s a beautifully laid-out small museum, with helpful and courteous staff. And the small gift shop is a gem - selections available seem extraordinarily tasteful, from CDs to an eclectic, popular as well as in-depth selection of books and calendars, as well as exotic imports. Museum is free, though a donation can (and ought to) be made.
