Title sort of says it all. The hotel is pleasant, with large rooms, soft beds, nice bathrooms and all the amenities you would expect, including coffee makers, ironing boards, etc. Location is great -- across the street from the town park, and a short walk both to Bowdoin's campus and the town's surprising number of restaurants. The food in the hotel was simple and high quality, with an excellent list of beers. There's a lovely outside patio and good live music in the evenings. Would definitely stay again.

Good: location if need to be at Bowdoin, friendly staff, very apologetic/responsive when no one cleaned our room

Bad: we were gone from room for hours and no one came to clean, no do not disturb, nothing. We got back at 8pm to find room as we had left it and no towels. We stayed in a king suite and I was underwhelmed by amenities. I would have thought the room would have a coffee maker. Room was very spacious, but there was no table/chairs where one could eat.

Staff was very attentive and apologetic. But not sure that I would stay there again for all those reasons.

I am saddened to hear that we did not service your room properly. Apologetic is great, however, our team should have offered you both service, and to bring you up chairs and a table to accommodate a more formal dining setting. We get a lot of comments from people who enjoy the cozy seating area in front of the DVD & Streaming video player to enjoy a meal. I do hope you reconsider on your next visit and choose to stay with s again. Thanks for your feedback it has been shared with the team. Rick Martin

We enjoyed our stay at the Brunswick Inn. The property is relatively new and quite clean though the staff has a typical New England chip on the shoulder. The gym is tiny. The food in the tavern is a bit on the pricey side but the selection of beer is outstanding. Overall a good place to stay when in Brunswick near Bowdoin College.

This is a clean, relatively up-to-date hotel opposite the beautiful Bowdoin campus. Hard to characterize it beyond that - just what you would expect, staff pleasant, rooms smallish but workable, bathrooms ditto, although sadly without shower hats, restaurant ok - not a place to come for a romantic getaway but perfectly fine for a business trip or to visit a kid at college. We were put into a room with two queen beds and the one surprising amenity was each bed had four quite comfortable pillows.

We were in town for a wedding and found this hotel to be very centrally located so that we could walk to the church and the reception. The rooms were well appointed and large. The parking was limited but ok.

Room Tip: Avoid front rooms during the week since there is construction across the street
