Days Inn Brunswick Bath Area
Ranked #8 of 11 Hotels in Brunswick

We've stayed here about five times over the past 20 years, and most recently this month. It is a clean, reliably comfortable and inexpensive place (although the prices jump for the peak nights of Friday and Saturday). The simple breakfast that comes with the room is fairly good: real English muffins instead of fake, tasty apple juice, and make-your-own waffles. The room and bathroom are always clean. The TV carries HGTV (yay!) and is reasonably clear, though not high-definition. The rooms facing Bath Road have some noise from cars during the day and the infrequent freight train horn, but at night the surroundings are very quiet even with the window open. When the window is completely closed the noise is effectively blocked.

The shower is strong and hot. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. The iron works very well (better than mine at home) and the ironing board, though rickety, is clean and usable.

This Days Inn has an excellent location for accessing major roads and highways, and for visiting Brunswick, Bath, Freeport, Reed State Park, and more distant points.

If you are on a budget and want consistent quality, this is a good choice.

Room Tip: A room on the south side is best; there you are away from the street and look onto a row of soaring...

I just left (Day's Inn) Brunswick, MN, to move into an available rental apartment. At (Day's Inn) I was given the opportunity to rent bi-weekly in there extended stay room# 203, which came with a king size bed and a kitchenette. My stay was from May 5, to July 20, 2014. The new General Manager is Amar, very pleasant. My contact persons were great people, Steve, Kate and Amy. Steve was the original person that booked me for my long term stay. Steve and Kate are very knowledgeable of the areas in Maine. They won't steer you wrong. Amy, along with the other housekeeping staff were prompt, thorough and attentive. My time and accommodations, their, were a great experience. Thank You, Day's Inn

Room Tip: 2nd floor away from main lobby is your best bet for a more quieter experience.

The hotel permits smoking, and all of the bed lenin, towels and hallways smell of stale smoke. Even opening the windows for two days did not remove the background smell of stale smoke.
Rooms in the back are better since the hotel is right on US Rt 1 so there is traffic noise.

I can always call the hotel direct and get a helpful front desk worker. The breakfast is great and wifi is strong. The rooms are clean and its helpful to have so many places in walking distance for travelers. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Make sure you confirm you have a non smoking room cause they still have smoking rooms. I always get...

I'll get right to the point. We knew we would be arriving later in the night so we called in the early evening making sure that our room and accommodations would be all ready, and we were assured that everything was great! Arriving exhausted at 11 pm, we got our room keys and lugged our bags up the stairs as there was no elevator. Then it happened. We opened the room and found someone in bed with their things strewn across the room! They had overbooked and given us the key to another guests' room, and did not actually have a room available for us. After much deliberation we were given a much smaller room, the time now being midnight. The next morning we were told that this was not their fault (another employee that was soon to be leaving had messed everything up) and we could have 20% off if we wanted. When we went back the next evening, as we had a two night reservation, we went to get our keys for the room we had been promised. No reservation had been made and we had to make a new one. Unbelievable. This should never happen to anyone and it is appalling that no one took responsibility. I strongly suggest you avoid this hotel and find another option in the area

We recently stayed on our way up the coast headed to Bar Harbor. It was an interesting location with a Wal Mart in its back yard. The hotel needed maintenance badly but the staff was very friendly. It is also right on a main rosd so street noise was an issue most of the evening.
