“Twin Peaks in Camden”
Reviewed 7 March 2010

I hate to write a negative review given all the nice things others have said, but this place is creepy; Twin Peaks was the closest analogy we could make. The dining room was physically comfortable, but aesthetically it was downright painful. The bright red furniture against an all white background was everything but restful, a deficit compounded by the very worst choice of dining music we had ever heard: predominantly Euro-techno interspersed with really bad Broadway and a bunch of other awful stuff that we couldn't characterize, played on a sound system that often played more than one of these simultaneously! This same mix was playing though outside speakers at some sort of special ice sculpture bar event which went on until 11:00pm right below our room at a volume which the way oversized pillows in our equally bizarrely decorated room couldn't begin to shut out. The staff was friendly, but almost uniformly strange in ways which I won't characterize because it would be mean.
Breakfast, was, in fact good, and the view across Camden Harbor lovely and restful. We were so sad, though, that they had taken this nice old New England Inn and done such a strange and tasteless mashup (according to, we were told, the tastes of a Dutch designer).

I took my mother on a fall tour of the Maine coast and stayed two nights at the Camden Harbor inn. The staff greeted us curbside and ushered us into the lovely inn. Our stay began with a welcome note in our room, soft music and champagne on the front porch.
Dinner, drinks and breakfast at Natalies was absolutely the highlight, the food was amazing and the staff friendly and attentive.
Today I recieved an email reminder from the Camden Harbor Inn regarding Valentines weekend getaway and decided to book the weekend for my husband and I.
This time complete with couples massage and my wonderful spouse. We are looking forward to our upcoming stay.

We stayed one night for my wife's birthday. This was absolutely the BEST B&B experience we have ever had in 10+ years. Great people! The room was comfortable and very well appointed. The bed was amazing. Great views from all the rooms and the very comfortable ground floor and restaurant. We cannot recommend Camden Harbour Inn highly enough they should get 6 stars.

We stayed 5 nights in the Siam Suite in early September and found the inn to be of very high standard. Rooms were equipped with all the extras, service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. We checked out a number of other properties in the area and none were close to comparable. Very chic and understated atmosphere all around. Would highly recommend this property - we will be back!

We had an amazing stay at Camden Harbour Inn. Without a doubt the most detailed and personalized service we have ever seen.Pro-active anticipating, helpful, friendly and professional. What a breath of fresh air for Maine. Rooms are very comfortable, including all the bells and whistles and overlooking the harbor and bay. Wow! Beds need to be mentioned separately as it was the best bed and softest linen we ever experienced. Breakfast offers a large choice of entrees and a buffet including champagne! All included! Great location, close to shops and harbor. More expensive than any other hotel in the area, but if this inn would have been located in New York, you would at least pay double the money. Worth every penny we paid. Can't wait to be back!

We stayed here last year for two nights and loved it. We stayed in the Delagoa Bay room which has a private balcony overlooking the ocean and fire place. The hotel decor was beautifully done, the bed was to die for. The bathroom was small and clean, I used the bath. We had drinks in the bar which was very "euro chic" and gorgeous. The service was impeccable. We didnt eat in the restaurant as we felt under dressed. We would go there again. Very chic, tasteful hotel. My only negative feedback was that we felt a bit judged/looked down on by the front desk as we were extremely casual in our attire. (It could have been a bad day.) We had been rained out on a backpacking trip and opted for a weekend of luxury instead, and only had jeans and tshirts with us.
