The amphitheater and surrounding harbor side make Camden one of the most visited towns in Maine. The Library itself is a beautiful structure and the winding path leads to a wonderful view of the harbor. If you check with the information bureau you will find when there is a concert scheduled. The flowers and shrubs make this entire area a pleasure o visit. Walk to the end of the dock area and take a closer look at the sailboats.

“A great spot”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

We recently attended a wonderful craft fair in the park. There always seems to be something wonderful going on but even on a quite day it's a wonderful spot to sit, reflect and take in the sites and sounds of the area.

“Nice park, close to the harbor”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

This is a nice little park adjacent to the harbor and downtown shopping area. It is a pretty quiet with a river and waterfall on the edge of the park. There are great views of the harbor and all of the schooners and other boats.

We did find that some of the walkways are becoming a bit overgrown into the paths. It didn't hamper movement, it just wasn't as crisp or sharp looking as it coul dhave been.

“Charming, Beautiful Site”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

While traveling by on our bikes, we heard live music drifting over the harbor and went down to take a look. Behind the stately town library, we found this delightful amphitheater built decades ago by summer visitor philanthropists. We couldn't think of a more magical way to spend an afternoon than listening to live music in this idyllic location.

A very magical setting close to the beautiful harbor. You feel like you are in a fairy tale. A great place to sit and read or to meditate. Filled with the smells of the salt water.
