The park is pretty and a bit unusual in appearance. It is directly across the street from the water, which makes the view lovely. I am not sure if the park is part of the park across the street or not. They seemed separate to me. This park is a large hill with a small damn and 2 waterfalls that lead into the harbor. It is pretty, peaceful and has several benches to sit on and just enjoy the scene in front of you, or to share a picnic lunch in a pleasant setting. Don't skip this little jewel in the middle of town!

After enjoying the view (it's wonderful) leave a little time to visit the adjoining Camden Public Library. If the Seattle Public Library in the gold standard for modern, large city public libraries then this must be the exemplar for small towns. We stepped in to use the "facilities" and were captivated for the better part of an hour. The top floor reading room was more like a private club than a library and the second floor local history center was captivating. The library includes a very unusual light well the brightens the underground lobby.

We wandered into Camden and were delighted to enjoy the harbor view, along with dozens of artists and a group of schoolchildren. The beautifully sunny day did help but I think it would be a vista worth looking at, at any time. We were intrigued to see the windjammers being wrapped up for winter.
We climbed the hill and went into the architecturally imposing but serene, comfortable library with the same views.

There is a beautiful view of habor from this park and the library across the street. Set up on a little hill you can look down onto the harbor and get some great photos. We walked down to the pier and got invited to tour one of the huge sailboats docked there. We did not attend and events at the amphitheatre but looks like a nice area to listen to a concert or any other outdoor event.
