“A romantic beautiful Inn!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 September 2013

We decided to take a last minute trip to Camden over the weekend and chose to stay at the Blackberry Inn- Having stayed at this beautiful home 20 years ago, I was so happy to see that it was even more beautiful than I had remembered! We stayed in the Library room, which is located on the first floor- This room was just gorgeous with a four poster Queen bed, a sitting area, and a gas fireplace- what was unique about this room was that the shower room was on one side of the room and the toilet room was on the opposite side- very nice! The next thing I will mention is how very comfortable the bed was along with the most incredible bed linens! This made for a wonderful nights sleep! Coming back to the Inn after dinner was so nice as the Inn' s lamps made a beautiful glow and it felt like coming home! The breakfast the next morning was superb and the owners of the Inn are very friendly and helpful! We will be back to stay very soon!

4 Girlfriends booked 2 rooms for our 1st trip to Maine together, none of us having been in Camden before. Cyndi and Jim run a wonderful establishment there, with thoughtful details everywhere. The grounds are small and lovely, town is just a 6-minute walk down the sidewalk out front, common rooms are perfect in each of the 2 houses they own. Jim's mastery in the kitchen was very evident for both of our breakfasts & very much appreciated. The houses are old, so the walls aren't exactly sound-proof: our only critical remark. They and their very nice staff helped with all touristy questions we had, and even offered things we hadn't thought of. All 4 of us are looking forward to the time we WILL return!

wonderfully relaxing, peaceful, place to stay. My husband and I arrived early evening, hungry and tired after the flight from Denver and drive from Boston. Cyndi wasted no time making us welcome and advising us on a restaurant for some dinner on the waterfront aptly named The Waterfront. Excellent food and only a short walk back to the B & B to stretch our achy bodies after sitting all day. Our rooms was one of the smaller rooms, but very cheerful and comfortable .The breakfasts were the best I've ever had at a B&B, amazing variety every day, tastefully prepared fresh every morning by Jim and served by Cyndi. The parlor was an especially beautiful room to sit in and relax and plan our next days adventures. When we told Cyndi we wanted to go sailing she called the Captain of the Windjammer Surprise and made sure we had a place on it. Hope that we find ourselves in Camden again soon.

Room Tip: the rooms are all welcoming, I would call and talk to Cyndi to help find the right room for your nee...

It's uncommon to spend two days at a B&B and not find something they could do better. But that's what you get at the Inn at Blackberry Common.

My wife and I stayed at the Blackberry Inn in Camden Aug. 24/25, 2013. It was the first time we had been in Camden and we were looking forward to exploring some of Maine's fine coast, and the quaint little Seaport towns of Camden, Rockport and Rockland.

The Inn is right on the main road leading into Camden, so it's easy to find and an easy 2 block stroll down into the center of the Camden village, quaint shops and restaurants. The area is Lobstah heaven, so plan on eating Lobster while you're there.

We were greeted by the Innkeepers Jim and Cyndi and the Inn is absolutely beautiful. It is a wonderful antique home that is just meticulously maintained. We stayed in the Betty Davis room and yes, she really did stay there. All of the accommodations are excellent. The bedding is beautiful, the baths are very nice, and our room was beautifully furnished. Everything about the Blackberry is top shelf. The soaps and shampoos in the room are Gilchrist and Soames (This is high end that you only find in a 5 star hotel.)

Jim loves coffee and so do I and the coffee for breakfast is excellent. The breakfast were delicious and artfully presented, all local fresh ingredients. Jim made it a point of making special waffle batter for my wife's food needs. The service was perfect.

The rates were very reasonable for accommodations of this caliber and in the region. We will come back again.

Down the street at the harbor we took a one hour cruise on the LovelyLady, and that was great too. We got a lesson in pulling up a Lobster trap, how to tell males from females and if they're pregnant and big enough. The cruise was beautiful and just long enough.

We also had dinner at Crabby's Chowder House which was very good. The next evening at Fresh I had Lobster Ravioli! Yummy!

Check out the Owls Head Transportation Museum if you go! If you like old motorcycles, cars and airplanes, you will love this place!

All in all 5 stars for the Blackberry Inn and the Camden/Rockland area in general.

Room Tip: The Betty Davis room we had had was in the front of the house but there was no street noise, and the...

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights at the Inns at Blackberry Commons. What an excellent choice we made. The inns are beautifully decorated and well cared for. Cindie & Jim were very warm and welcoming.. They were also helpful as this was our first time in Camden Maine. My husband happened to mention in talking with Cindie that it was our anniversary,That night when we returned from dinner, there was a lovely bouquet of flowers sitting on the dresser. I was so surprised and delighted at such a thoughtful gesture. Definitely will stay here next time we are in Camden. Oh and the breakfast is as good as you will find at any fine restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Inn at Blackberry Common. We loved our treetop room, nestled in the back over looking the gardens and surrounded by wisteria. Where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine. before a walk into town for dinner. The inn keepers,Cindy and Jim were wonderful and very knowledgable about the area. Our breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious, the wait staff was very attentive to our needs. The inn was very clean and well kept and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit. ROB

My husband and I recently stayed for one night at The Inn at Blackberry Common. We had a delightful stay and reluctantly left the Inn to head to our next destination further north. The innkeepers were very pleasant, warm, and welcoming. Our room, the Victorian, was tastefully decorated, comfortable, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed a glass of wine in the gardens outside and had fun picking blackberries from the many blackberry bushes on the property. The breakfast was delicious and the innkeepers were very accommodating when I informed them I was a vegetarian. The Inn's dining room is simply beautiful with ornate, interesting details.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the Inn and should we return to Camden in the future, we will most definitely return to this bed and breakfast.
