“Couldn't ask for a better trip to Camden.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2010

Although we had driven through Camden, we had never stopped to to enjoy it's delights. We chose 4 nights last week to get to know Camden better and we chose the Blue Harbor House as our home base. It felt like home in the room named Sea Glass. Plenty of closet space, adequate bathroom, comfy bed. It just needed at more powerful air conditioner for that room. The most surprising part of our visit was the beautiful breakfast we were served each morning. Even though it is only served from 8 to 9am, everyone gets up for this food! No buffet here, Terry serves each of the meals that Annette meticulisly cooks and plates for their guests. BRAVO! Considering all the good food options in Camden, the 2 block walk into town was an absolute necessity.

Anyone planning a trip to Camden, Maine should definitely think about staying at this B&B. The Hosts, Annette & Terry, made our stay so special. They addressed all of our questions about the area and any requests we had. The gourmet breakfasts were incredible. We loved our room. It had all the amenities we needed, was comfortable and quiet. The location was perfect for our walks to the Harbor and shopping. The Blue Harbor House was a highlight of our trip to Maine.

Very clean room, nicely appointed. Terry and Annette provide great breakfasts and tips on where to go and what to do. We have never stayed at a bed and breakfast but for our 20th anniversary this was the perfect place to stay!

We stayed here for one night and Terry & Annette the innkeepers could not have been more helpful. We should come clean and state we also run an inn, so we do have very high standards. These were certainly met, in all but one small and we think important area. Having said that the area in question is a very subjective observation. We like to find inns and B & B's that reflect the owners, and we felt Blue Harbour house reflected a previous owner of business when it came to the bedroom & bathroom. Our room was spotlessly clean but we felt it was dated. The fixtures and light fittings etc did not have a wow factor about them, and the decor was not reflective of our taste, but we must stress we do like a 'WOW" when it comes to decor!

The breakfast was a simple affair, and as we are not partial to pancakes....well we are British, a very enjoyable omlette was offered and delicious it was too. The inn has a homely feel to it and we think it was us and not the inn, that was not quiet right for our tastes. See told you it was a subjective comment.....

Nowt wrong with the place if you don't mind traditional New England, and in Camden there are many competitors all doing that style...which we think does create an opportunity for a competitor to undercut the overpriced Camden Harbour Inn.....at about $400.00 a night you'd think they would have proper air conditioning at the C.H.I. rather than cheap window units!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Blue Harbor House in Camden. The breakfasts were beyond compare, the Carriage House was roomy and comfortable and the hospitality shown by Terry and Annette was unparalleled! We could walk downtown to take in the sights as the B&B is located very conveniently to everything to do there. We enjoyed a sail on the Olad and had as many meals as possible at Cappy's. We will return!

Annette and Terry are very kind people who made our stay very special. We arrived by coach and they went out of their way to pick us up from the bus station which was a mile from the inn (between Camden and Rockport).

Their breakfasts were just the best with delightful tomato basil quiches and creme brulee french toasts - my wife who is usually not a morning person was always excited to get up for their breakfasts. Teatime was just as good with little treats.Camden itself is perfect for a 3-4 night stay with the beach, Mt Battie, the sailing and the waterfront. Really enjoyed our stay at Blue Harbor Inn.

The Blue Harbor House B&B was gorgeous! We stayed in the Blue room and it was just lovely! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable! The breakfast in the morning was brilliant! The walk to town and harbor was only a short 3-5 min walk.
