“Fantastic Lobster Roll”
Reviewed 3 October 2013

Hidden in the back of Knight's Quilt Shop is a real gem of a place to get a super fresh Lobster Roll. A delightful young couple runs this wonderful surprise. The Lobster is actually just off the boat and freshly prepared. If you are passing through the area you won't be disappointed at The Four Mile Lobster. Unfortunately this is a seasonal operation which will close later in October and reopen next year. I can't wait to pass through again to see the improvements they are planning.

“Nothing less than DELICIOUS!”
Reviewed 22 September 2013 via mobile

At first glance this lobster roll appeared average. However, once we took a bite we realized how delicious and exceptional it truly was. Size is average and pricing fair for the area, but the lobster probably was the most tasty and fresh we've ever tried...this coming from people who have eaten a lifetime worth of fresh Maine lobster. The toasted panini type roll also really added to the yummy punch. Can't wait to return! Super nice folks who own and operate it as well!!!!

“Hidden Gem!!”
Reviewed 20 September 2013

After reading about this place on TA, we had to try it. Fantastic family running it with absolutely terrific food! Sadly we are leaving tomorrow morning, otherwise we'd be back there again and again. The warm fresh lobster roll was probably the best I've ever had.

“Another Day, But Not Just Another Lobster Roll”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

If you didn't know this place was there you might never find it. It is on Route 1 behind a quilt shop. The young couple's (John and Michelle) mother owns the quilt shop and the young man's dad is a lobsterman so the lobster is fresh daily. There are only a couple of tables inside but several outside picnic tables. The lobster was fresh and tasty. The rolls were toasted on like a pannini grill and provided a unique presentation for the sandwich. Can get it plain, with mayo, or with mayo & celery. The lobster roll was only lobster and not stuffed with lettuce and came with your choice of several kinds of chips or a fresh apple. They do have a few (very few) other choices - chicken salad, grilled cheese, and another I forget. They also offer a lobster stew which sounded delish but I we did not try. An above average lobster roll at an average price for the area ($13.95). Worth the visit.

“Great find...”
Reviewed 26 August 2013

Fun experience, feels like home as you are interacting with the fisherman's son. Great service and the food is fresh and very tasty.

Just off US-1, worth the detour!
