“Superior cuisine and dining experience!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Clay Hill Farm is an excellent choice for a fine dining experience in Cape Neddick. We had a party of seven for a 50th wedding anniversary dinner and were seating in the main fireplace room overlooking the bird sanctuary and gardens. The ambiance was cozy and a perfect location to enjoy the live piano. The food is exceptional!!!!! Everyone at our table was raving about their meals. The "award winning" lobster bisque is the absolute best and a must try if you visit Clay Hill Farm!!!!! The haddock and the chicken were also excellent choices. The food and all the ingredients are very fresh and I commend the chef for his/her ingenuity when creating each dish. Honestly, this was the best meal I've had in a very long time!!!!!! In addition to the superior food, the service is also excellent. It is evident that this restaurant cares about it's customers and it's reputation. I HIGHLY recommend having dinner at Clay Hill Farm if you are in the area!!!!!!

“Charming and delicious”
Reviewed 23 June 2014 via mobile

Seven of us dined here before attending the show at the Ogunquit Playhouse. Lovely setting, with gardens & bird sanctuary. Old world charm inside, reminiscent of the 50's or earlier. I had the lemon encrusted haddock (delicious) & a Caesar salad(extra charge). With one glass of Chardonnay & a coffee, the bill was $46.44, not including tip. It was worth it for the experience, but too pricy to frequent very often.

“Nice place to dine”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Third time eating here so its time for a review. The place is charming, friendly and relaxing. Have had excellent service all three times, everyone goes out of there way to be exceptionally friendly. I like that the tables are not all that close so you don’t have to listen to other peoples conversations and that you have room enough to breath. The dining area is open and its good size, the views can be of birds, streams, flowers and vegetable gardens if you sit fairly close to the huge picture windows.

The food is very good but a bit on the stingy side, the prices are in the ball park, $25-$30 on average per entrée, the restaurant is considered to be an upper tier restaurant and for the AREA it is, Personally, IMO, it would not come close to other top tier restaurants in places like NY city, Las Vegas, Boston and so on but it is a great restaurant and should not be missed if your in the area..

“beautiful location for a wedding”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

We were lucky enough to have our wedding at Clay Hill Farm. From the very beginning Rachel and Jennifer could not have been more helpful. We planned the wedding in about 4 months and it went as smoothly as possible. They are true professionals, but nothing about the experience feels "canned" or forced. They were amenable to us tweaking the package we chose, bringing in lots of lawn games and activities for the many children attending, and being flexible about schedule on the day of the event. The grounds are truly beautiful and the service and food were terrific. We look forward to returning to Clay Hill for many years to come.
