If you are not very familiar with this city, you might not easily find this place. There is plenty of parking, however, and the food is reasonably priced. We stopped for hot dogs. They were extra-long with toasted bun and they offer red pepper relish, raw Vidalia onions, or anything else you want on them. I also tried the small version of their haddock chowder. It is made with lots of haddock and some potatoes. Delicious! I would suggest the cook add some salt & pepper to the chowder but, other than that, it was fine. We also thought the lobster roll and the crab roll must be winners because they seemed very popular with customers. Try this little place and sit at a picnic table for a good lunch.

We always stop for Larson's crab rolls at this old fashioned lunch stand (hours extend 11 AM to 7PM. Closed Wed.). The very generous serving of sweet crab with just the right amount of mayo on a buttered, toasted bun means that we have finally arrived in Damariscotta. Haddock chowder is good too. The staff is very friendly and helpful--they even provide water and biscuits for dogs. Larson's also sponsors a lobster roll fund raiser for the local food pantry. all in all, a local business we like to support.

Barb and Billy, the owners and chef, are friendly, delightful. The food is great. No other fast food can compare!

Every vacation we stop at Larson's on the way back from Pemaquid Light and are delighted with their food. We always get different things on their menu and have yet to be disappointed. Fairly priced but always good. We always hit it in August but I don't know what you would do if it was raining and don't live nearby since the seating is outdoor uncovered picnic tables and the facilities are a portable potty. I don't mean to sound negative because the food is always worth the stop.

Open "three seasons", Larson's has kept its good food even through a couple of different owners. The signature lobster roll is meatier than what you find at most other "well known" places on the midcoast. Their crab roll features sweet, fresh-picked meat. They are a cash shop, so be prepared.
