Imagine visiting an outdoor/indoor sculpture garden, a Maine Food/Gift shop and possibly a nature walk from the 70's all at the same time! We have been here 4 times over the last 10 years and plan to return in 2014. It is almost in the middle of nowhere-near Stonington on Deer Isle Maine--but well worth the trip. You can make a day trip stopping at Castine and Dyce Head light and then journey over the fabulous and very old Eggemoggin Reach bridge stooping by for a glimpse of Pumpkin Island Light and then on toward Stonington-with a turnoff shortly before you reach the village itself. The sculptures are fantastic and made from all kinds of old materials and things. They are difficult to describe but one of the best ones is a fish and lobster playing checkers and a larger than lifesize castle with knights, lady's in waiting and monsters. Don't miss it and you get free samples of very good jams and jellies.
