The rooms were nice, staff was courteous. The only thing missing is maybe a lounge or somewhere to order a burger or a sandwich in the hotel.
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
We stayed at this hotel between August 17th and August 21st. It was fine for our needs since it was very close to a grocery store, some restaurants, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It had all the features we needed (breakfast, free parking, etc). Although, we were disapointed on some points. The housekeeping staff forgot to clean our room for our last night and the front desk staff told us they could do nothing for us since housekeeping only work during the day (no compensation). The housekeeping staff was also very annoying ( knocking at the door between 8h30 and 9AM to clean the room while we were in). The front desk even told us that they did not have extra towels so they had to call maintenance to have some. This is not acceptable in an hotel. The breakfast was also very average (not a lot of choices compared to other hotel brands). The hotel is also pretty old and need some relooking. In general, it is good to visit the area but since the hotel did not compensate us I would recommend trying the new Hampton Inn accross the street if you plan to stay less than 3 days (Ramada has a discount when staying 3 nights or more which is an advantage in the area).
I was on a long motorcycle road trip and got to the hotel 3 hours before check in. The person at the front desk called housekeeping and my room was ready in 10 minutes. The room was fresh and clean. They also offered to let me park my motorcycle under the front canopy so it would be protected from the weather. Later that night we were expecting heavy rains so I went outside to cover my motorcycle (under the canopy) to protect it from blowing wind andrain. At that point the maintenance person offered to store my bike inside the building! The list goes on and on for the great customer service and a great room at a great price. 5 stars in my book!
