awesome staff can't say enough about them, Honest, pleasant and attentive to your wants and needs. The restaurant has an awesome breakfast and you save 15% for staying there. Rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was large and clean. It was a great value and location close to the outlets.

Rooms were clean, conveniently located for shopping, no free breakfast as with most hotels. Pillows were small, noise travelled. Walls/floors thin, could easily hear people walking above, doors closing in hallways. Friendly service. We stayed at the annex off site from office. Odd location through a parking lot of a restaurant. Really no issues, we spent very little time in the rooms. Good rate during the week, goes up marginally over the weekend

We do have a unique location with 25 acres and two hotel buildings. We hope you were able to enjoy a great breakfast with a 15% discount at the Freeport Café. We are close to Freeport and Portland for lots of shopping and nearby to some nice state parks. We hope you will come again to visit us soon. You can call us at 207-865-3106 and we will be happy to put you in a room of your choice.

I will admit I was a bit surprised by how far outside Freeport this Best Western was located. It's probably about the same distance as driving to Freeport from Brunswick, in the other direction. After checking in, we had to get back on the #1 and drive across the marsh/river area to the other (annex) building, which was located behind the Muddy Rudder restaurant. I will agree that being in the annex meant it was a quieter spot on a weekend when every room in Freeport was sold out. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, although a bit stressed by the busy weekend and people showing up still looking for a room.
We had reservations for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with a good-sized flatscreen TV, an above-average selection of channels, and a roomy washroom (despite the weird location of the toilet, and a boxed-in sink!). WIFI was included; reception was strong. The facility seemed to be well maintained. There was some noise from the parking lot and from the nearby highway.
No breakfast was included but guests received a 15% discount at the cafe on the hotel grounds. We had two very good meals at this cafe.
Overall, a good stay but this property must be close to the bottom cut-off for a Best Western Plus.

Room Tip: Get to the cafe early for breakfast as there was a long lineup on Sunday morning.

We are only 3.5 miles from LL Bean which is open 24 hours. Brunswick is around 8 miles from them. We are only a few miles from South Freeport Harbor also where you can enjoy a really fresh seafood dinner right at the dock where the lobsters are brought in. We are lucky to have the two great restaurants on our 25 acres of land. We hope you will come visit us again soon. Give us a call at 207-865-3106 and we will get you in the room of your choice.

I'm not sure what the "Plus" in this property's brand means, but there was no "plus". In fact, the room we stayed in was in a separate building quarter-mile or more down the road adjacent to a pub bar. No elevator, no microwave, no coffee pot. Very inconvenient. Satellite building was fairly new, but evidently cheaply built since every noise in the room above could be heard, and the ceiling flexed with every step above. BW is usually among my first searches when travelling because of the its typical consistency and price value. But this one was not what I expected from my BW experiences to date, especially at an off-season rate much higher than other much nicer hotels we used on this trip.

The Muddy Rudder is actually a really nice restaurant with a beautiful dining room on the tidal river. It closes at 9:30 and I have never had a guest complaint about noise from there. Many of our guests enjoy the fact that they just have to walk across the parking lot and down the stairs to get to the restaurant for a great lobster dinner! All of our rooms have a single cup coffeemaker and a small refrigerator. Microwaves are available upon request, it is best to ask when the reserve the room. We have a 24 ground level rooms as well as 32 which are only 8 steps from our back parking lot. We are always happy to accommodate your choice of rooms based on availability.

The hotel was very clean and handy to both the main highway and the outlet shopping in Freeport. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. Also located on the property was an awesome restaurant called The Muddy Rudder which had fantastic food and super helpful/friendly staff. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Freeport.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We are a very pet friendly hotel. Most of our guests with pets prefer our Hillside Building because there is more grassy area for them to get their exercise. The only floor in the Topside Building that is pet friendly is the lower deck which looks out over the tidal river. We are lucky to have The Muddy Rudder and The Freeport Café so close to us. They are both great places to eat.

My wife and I visited Freeport Maine for the very first time in order to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary as well as attend a friends wedding in town. We stayed for two nights and found the accomodations comfortable. One small issue we encountered while relaxing in our room during our stay was the uninvited intrusion by about a dozen or so Lady Bugs. Most likely they found their way into our room through a worn out insulation strip beneath the (balcony type) door that provides a nice view of the river and foliage during the daylight hours. There is no balcony, but when the door is opened, a wood safety railing secured to the door casing prevents you from exiting the room. One other issue we encountered on the morning we checked out, was a noticeable drop in water pressure and temperature as we were getting ourselves ready to depart. My wife ended up with a cold shower which was very unpleasant. We did not experience this the previous morning. When I mentioned it to the front desk clerk upon checkout, I was provided with an apology and the assurance that a maintenance worker would be instructed to look into the matter. Overall, the hotel provided a good nights rest in our King-Sized bed and the room was clean and warm during the cold fall nights. We would stay at this establishment again if we ever find ourselves needing a place to stay in Freeport in the future.
