Food is good, not great, but the location can't be beat if you're an LL Bean shopper (ground floor, middle, near the big boot). Inside tables can be fun for visiting with other shoppers; outside nice for fresh air and a bit more space/privacy. I'd go back for the cinnamon ginger cookies!

This is a cute cafe within the LL Bean complex. We ordered a sandwich to split between us, and a very nice soup of the day. And of course, a wonderful cookie and coffee for desert.

We brought back a large coffee mug to remind us of this fun store and excellent sandwich shop. Staff friendly- busy at noon.

Will stop again while visiting LL Bean in the future!

My husband and I ate here a few days ago. We have eaten here many times over the last few years with our young daughter. We are always very pleased with the food and service. We love the healthy options. They have GF and organic options as well.

We chose this place for convenience, ducking into grab a quick bite between visiting the many shops of L.L. Bean's "mother ship", and it was a good choice. The food was surprisingly good, and we were particularly pleased with the available vegetarian options. The veggie "meatloaf" wrap was as good as you'd find in any top quality vegetarian restaurant. Not a lot of atmosphere, but that's not what you expect of a quick, counter-service sandwich shop. On a nicer day, I'm sure the outside seating would have been quite pleasant, but even the indoor setting was fine. Overall, quite good, and much quicker and easier than wandering down the street to choose between the many other restaurants that all advertise "the best lobster roll in Maine".

We visited the LL Bean flagship store in Freeport Maine. It is like a campus with several buildings for various activities (e.g. biking, hunting, etc...). The 1912 Cafe serves a few sandwiches, soups and salads. I had a haddock chowder and a Cuban sandwich. Both were quite good. Not too expensive either.
