This is a nice place for lunch while in Freeport. Seating is limited so you may have to wait for a table, or get take out. They have a wide menu and the sandwiches looked very good –all made while you wait. We had the pizza and it was very good as well. The crust was a bit thick, but with a crunchy bottom. The sauce was on the sweet side, but tasty. The prices were very reasonable, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

My family and I were in Freeport to shop at the iconic LL Bean Store and see the sights. My husband (although from Maine) hates seafood, so we stopped at Amato's for lunch. The pizza is good and the prices are reasonable. It's just the typical chain pizza shop. It's a good place to go if you don't want seafood or if you are on a budget.

Stopped in for lunch. Great selection of many different sandwiches. As a vegetarian I chose a sub filled with veggies. Very happy with it as food was fresh, the restaurant was clean and service very quick! Prices good also.

I like having subs for supper and I am not a big fan of Subway. At Amatos you will get a sub where you can really taste the meat. they don't just fill it up with lettuce like the other guys do. Go here when you want a good sub at a good price.

We looked at other resteraunts and got sticker shock. This is a nice pizza/sub style shop. Plenty of seating and clean. The whole family enjoyed their subs and focaccia sandwiches. We all thought we got our money's worth.
