This is an attractive and seemingly newly renovated HIE south of Freeport. There are no restaurants within walking distance but numerous restaurants are nearby. The hotel was clean and the staff is friendly and willing to help. So what's the problem? As they say, the devil is in the details.
At breakfast this morning, for example, only one small carton of milk was left in the refrigerator -- and it was opened. There are no desks in the room, just a circular table. As I write this I am sitting on the bedside with the circular table pulled over to the side of the bed. If you intend to do any work -- this isn't the place to do it.
The fitness center has two aging treadmills and a bike. It is a very small room on the first floor. The rooms feature a tube-television (vs. LCD), the alarm clock is old style with no iPod input etc.
This hotel is clean and comfortable and with a few relatively minor changes would be a recommend. Unfortunately given all of the failings -- especially the lack of workspace in the rooms -- leads me to this poor rating.More
