We had dinner at the tavern tonight and the Baked Halibut with fresh crab was excellent. Very generous portion of halibut perfectly cooked. The server was knowledgeable and attentively. I would definitely go back.

When I ordered a foot long lobster roll, I received the 6 inch. When brought to their attention, I got another 6 inch, this time on a roll with one side COMPLETELY not toasted. How does this happen?! Completely ridiculous

Nice early American tavern atmosphere with antiques, taxidermy animals, fireplace. Great service. We arrived at 8:00 pm on a Friday night and after some confusion on where to enter (best to go through the hotel lobby), we were immediately seated at a table near the brick oven, which was fun to watch the cooks prepare dishes. The lobster roll comes as either a 6 or 12 inch, served either cold with mayonnaise or heated with butter. Fries were okay. The Mac and cheese was delicious - very rich and tasty cheese sauce. The bacon cheeseburger was delicious and perfectly cooked to order. The calamari appetizer was good - tender and lightly fried with a yummy sweet & tangy sauce (we asked for the spinach to be left off this dish). The bacon wrapped scallop appetizer was delicious. The lobster stew had a good flavor with some chunks of lobster, but was a bit more bland than expected after all the great reviews. The homemade vanilla ice cream served with many of the desserts was wonderful. The chocolate lava cake was served right out of the brick oven and was delicious, but strangely had a paper lining on the bottom, which we almost mistakenly ate. The filling of the blueberry pie had a great taste, but was not consistently warm inside and the crust needs more flavor.

There food was delicious along with the drinks. Cute little restaurant with a very "Maine" feeling to it. Staff was very friendly.

Great place to meet family and friends. Great atmosphere! Very relaxing! Also great selection of different foods. Never had a bad meal or should say all meals have been excellent. I also love taking people there for the first time and getting patted on the back once meal is over for picking the perfect place. If you are in town it is the only place to eat, drink and be merry!!

Thank Russell P
