Unable to get a reservation in the Maine Dining Room at the Harraseeket Inn for their Sunday Brunch? Not to worry. You can just arrive at the Broad Arrow Tavern a bit before starting time, 11:30, and partake of the buffet along with the diners in the more formal dining room. We have done this several times in the past and have always left full and happy. It takes a while to make your way through the multitudes of offerings with most people starting off with the chilled half lobsters with hot butter. Yesterday they had blueberry ribs that fell off the bones, a carving station with prime rib, a crepe station, lots of side dishes, and many fresh salads and fruits. But it's really all about the lobster.
Where else can you find unlimited lobster with an all inclusive meal including beverages for $26.00? Nowhere that I know of!

True, the traffic pattern is not ideal but most of the patrons are polite and patient. At a buffet like this, one likes to take one's time. Our server, Katie, started out great but soon seemed to grow impatient, forgetting to bring bowls for our lobster shells, refilling drinks, etc. She brought our checks while we were eating dessert. To say we felt rushed is an understatement! There were plenty of open tables so we were perplexed. This had never happened before, and this is why my review is 4 stars instead of 5.

I love love love the dessert choices which are lined up in the Broad Arrow Tavern and always include their house made vanilla ice milk. Need the recipe? Ask at the front desk and they are happy to share any recipe you request!

The Sunday Brunch is amazing for lobster lovers and desserts are out of this world. I can't think of another place in Maine where you can eat all the lobster you want. The buffet serves fresh Maine seafoods, salads, hot dishes, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, homemade desserts and an omlet station The current price is $25.95 per person and is well worth it. Reservations are required. However, if there's no availability in the dinning room ask for the Broad Arrow Tavern where walkin's are accepted. The buffet can be ordered from the Tavern and it's just a short walk down the hallway to the exquisite buffet.

We went to the Inn on Fathers Day and we did not have a reservation but they can accomodate you without a reservation. We go once or twice a year and it is fantastic. Great service and food and wonderful drinks and desserts and we always have a goodtime and feel like a valued customer. The Prime Rib and lobster are out of this world along with the salads and a variety of hot food. The blueberry pie is excellent. We just love the place and we will be back for brunch and we are going to try the lunch buffet.

If you come to Freeport to shop you will not want to miss the Harraseeket Inn. Only a short stroll from LL Bean, the dinning room is one of the best in Maine, although expensive. The Broad Arrow Tavern in the Inn is not as expensive but with food equally good. For "fine dinning" go to the Inn's restaurant. For plain "good eating" try the Broad Arrow Tavern.

My husband and I went there this past weekend to celebrate my birthday. We go there about 3 or 4 times a year but this is the last time. Dining room they call quaint is old and tired. We had the table side menu is caesar salad and steak. We ordered rare it came medium .We were told it was rare but it was not.We did not say anything as we did not want to wait for a new meal.for $150.00 with tip it is not acceptable…I was asked when we were leaving how was the meal. That is when I spoke up. My fault for not saying anything but i am so done with this restaurant
