Unable to get a reservation in the Maine Dining Room at the Harraseeket Inn for their Sunday Brunch? Not to worry. You can just arrive at the Broad Arrow Tavern a bit before starting time, 11:30, and partake of the buffet along with the diners in the more formal dining room. We have done this several times in the past and have always left full and happy. It takes a while to make your way through the multitudes of offerings with most people starting off with the chilled half lobsters with hot butter. Yesterday they had blueberry ribs that fell off the bones, a carving station with prime rib, a crepe station, lots of side dishes, and many fresh salads and fruits. But it's really all about the lobster.
Where else can you find unlimited lobster with an all inclusive meal including beverages for $26.00? Nowhere that I know of!
True, the traffic pattern is not ideal but most of the patrons are polite and patient. At a buffet like this, one likes to take one's time. Our server, Katie, started out great but soon seemed to grow impatient, forgetting to bring bowls for our lobster shells, refilling drinks, etc. She brought our checks while we were eating dessert. To say we felt rushed is an understatement! There were plenty of open tables so we were perplexed. This had never happened before, and this is why my review is 4 stars instead of 5.
I love love love the dessert choices which are lined up in the Broad Arrow Tavern and always include their house made vanilla ice milk. Need the recipe? Ask at the front desk and they are happy to share any recipe you request!
