“Great hotel in a great outlet shopping town”
Reviewed 16 October 2011

This hotel in Freeport, Maine is great. It is very close to all the outlets that everyone goes to Freeport for. The rooms are very nice and have sort of two rooms as there is a glass divider between the beds and the living rom area. In the living room area, there is a couch. and a coffee table. The free breakfast buffet is very good. The pool and hot tub area is older, but is still nice. The front desk staff was very good and answered any questions that we asked. All in all, Great hotel!! :)

This hotel was a great value. The room was quite large with a king sized bed and a pull out couch,it could have easily held 4 people instead of just my husband and I. There is a computer hooked up to a printer should you need to look up any info. during your stay.
Breakfast was better than the usual continental, there were hot choices as well like sausage and mini cheese omelettes.
I would definitely recommend this place. One tip though, if you don't like to hear traffic, request a room that isn't on the back side of the hotel or you will hear 295 traffic. I was surprised that we could hear it, but when we turned the heat up, it drowned out the sound.

Room Tip: Tell them you don't want a room in the back of the hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. The mattresses appeared new, the room was very clean and modern. Not walking distance to shopping center, but close. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!

My family had a lovely stay at the Comfort Suites in Freeport Maine. The hotel is right off 295 so you get some noise from the highway but nothing earth shattering. The rooms were spacious, clean, up to date and the beds were wonderful to sleep in. Had the best sleep in a long time. All the appliances worked. The shower was a tad weak but it did its job. Hint change the shower head setting and it works better. House cleaning gave us extra towels for the pool and showers. They were always helpful.

The staff was pleasant to work with. We had a clogged drain in one of the two rooms were were renting. They tried to fix it but needed a plumber. They had him there in no time.

The breakfast area is a little cramped when all the guests are trying to get breakfast before heading out on the day trips. There was never a wait for something the person responsible for breakfast always made sure things were ready for the next person.

You are right down the street from the main shopping area, just up the road from the Desert of Maine and about an hour from Portland. I would recommend this hotel again. They even allowed us to barbecue in the parking lot in the back corner. This doesn’t sound like a big deal but most hotels don’t allow it.

The internet was slow and they were in the process of switching providers.

Enjoyed the MP 3-ready alarm clock radio and pre-programmed radio stations.

A helpful hint: Shaw’s grocery store is right down the street on the corner of Desert of Maine and Route. A really cute small grocery store is Bow’s Market right down by all the shopping in Freeport. Restaurants in the areas are limited unless you head into Freeport. Antonia's Pizzeria excellent choice for dining. The food my family had was excellent and the wait staff offered suggestions of things to do.

Maine just re-numbered interstate 295. If you are using GPS instead of watching for exit following the mileage.
