Swans falls campground use to be one of the best campgrounds.
but the last couple years it has gone down hill. first off the staff use to be really friendly and helpful. the last time i made reservation the grumpy person on the other end of the phone call seemed like i just ruined her whole day and when we showed up it was the same grumpy attitude that was displayed on the phone.
The campsites were still littered with trash from the last campers and had about four or five days worth of ash and beer cans.
The bathrooms looked like they hadn't been clean in a couple days or pumped out for at least a week or so.
when the campground Stewart did come around it was on a noisy golf cart something i had never experience their before.
I know they have been trying to crack down on all the people partying and trashing the campground but their is no reason to treat all campers like they are the problem some people actually leave the campsites better and in our case cleaner then we found it.
swans falls was a much better campground when it was run by the Appalachian mountain club since the sale to Saco River Recreational Council it has gone down hill year after year.
