My wife and I needed a getaway for a long weekend. Peace With-Inn provided the perfect setting and a perfect weekend.

The Peace With Inn is a lovely old farmhouse with some new additions. The rooms were very tastefully decorated -- no nicky-nacky clutter. There were lovely little hide-away common rooms that each had their own unique feel -- a game room, a dark paneled fox-hunting styled room, and the loveliest tiny book-nook. The bedrooms were very comforable. Great piles of down comforters kept us cozy. Spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good, but the coffee could have been stronger. The staff was terrific -- interesting, real people who gave great advice on what to do and where to go, but didn't hang around. The wine and cheese in the evening was a really nice touch. We will definately return to the Peace With Inn and highly recommend it.
It was our 4th visit to the Peace With Inn. We absolutely love it. Quiet, restful, great breakfast and lots of activity in the surrounding area...just the begining of a most delightful experience. The staff are attentive to details and are available to help with advise on sports activities, dining in the surrounding area and interesting things to do and see. We book a year in advance to secure our President's Weekend escape!
This was our first time staying at a B&B. The name says it all, Peace With Inn. It was quiet, cozy, clean and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. Each room was uniquely decorated, one more beautiful then the next.
There is plenty to do around Fryeburg, 6 ski areas, cross country skiing, outlets if you want to shop. We are hooked on B&B's now.
My girlfriend and I are still talking about our trip to the Peace With-Inn. This quiet mountain getaway gave us the relaxating weekend that both of us needed.
Even with most of the snow gone by late winter, the area is still a beautiful sight to see. And we got a nice snowstorm on our second night, which made our romantic stay even more enchanting.
Couples will love the lodge-style living room and the huge whirlpool bathtub, while kids may be bored out of their minds. And if you are interested, the inn provides a sauna and (for a fee) massage.
We are hesitant about telling everyone how great the Peace With-Inn is -- we would like to keep it a secret. As long as you don't bring your screaming kids with you (though I am sure the innkeepers welcome families), we are ok about sharing Maine's best kept secret with you.
We have stayed at this B&B many times and consider it our personal retreat from the real world. The online booking system is easy to use, and they respond quickly to reservation requests. We look for relaxing amenities, particularly whirlpool tubs, in our travel accomodations. This B&B has 3 rooms with 2-person Jacuzzi tubs, and we have stayed in 2 of them. The new addition has, in our opinion, the best room in the place (the Summit room). Extremely comfortable king sized bed with amazing pillows, oversized bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Your stay begins with an offer of snacks and beverages, then a tour of the house if you've never been. There are many ideas for dining locations offered by the innkeepers and also in brochures in your room and in the living rooms. North Conway is a 10-15 minute drive with many different restaurants and stores to choose from. Breakfasts are always healthy, freshly prepared, and well-presented, although we personally aren't "fancy breakfast people" and often find some of the offerings unappealing so early. Although it's always better than just a continental breakfast seen at some other places. They also offer packages geared toward outdoor interests such as rock climbing, canoeing and biking. If you're looking for something to do during the day, a drive up Rt. 16 North past Mt. Washington is always a good take. Some of the rooms seem a little overpriced, especially the rooms that aren't en suite or that don't have Jacuzzis, but much cheaper than staying right in No. Conway. All in all, this is a truly peaceful place to stay, away from the crowds of the No. Conway strip for a quiet evening, but close enough for when you do feel like venturing away from the tubs!! Give it a shot...you will find out why they call it Peace With-Inn :)
