“Wonderful trip, love this place!”
Reviewed 2 August 2011

Spent three nights and four days at the camps. Incredible scenery, comfortable bed, clean, homey log camp. Thank you Chris and Dana for making us feel so welcome and for the delicious bean hole beans! Spent our days hiking, kayaking, and sitting on the camp porch. We fell asleep while listening to the sound of loons calling across the pond while the pine trees whispered in the wind. This is an incredibly beautiful wilderness camp!

Room Tip: Stayed at the main lodge, but all the cabins have a great view.

My wife, myself and our two dogs really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was super clean & cozy, bed was extremely comfortable. Dana & Christine we exceptional hosts, directing us to some nice fishing holes, hiking trails, etc. We even were invited to have dinner with their family one evening. Keep up the good work you two, you are doing a great job with these cabins.

We selected Spencer Pond Camps from their website and when we arrived we found it to be just as we had hoped. Itw as relaxing, fun and the owners were great. We loved kayaking on the lake and the wildlife. We saw bears, moose, eagles and more. We will certainly return. It was worth the effort of getting there.

Room Tip: The Lunker cabin position best. It is right on th.

My weekend there was just what I needed. A nice way to get back to nature with many conveniences--bed, cabin, stove. Pet friendly which is a bonus. Privacy and quiet, but other friendly "campers" and great hosts/owners to visit with, share stories with, and enjoy the outdoors with. I hope I can get back again soon! You can't go wrong!! Absolutely beautiful and fun!

My daughter is a Grad student at U Maine, Orono and I came from Minnesota to visit . We decided at the last minute to take a trip near where she did some forestry field work last summer, so I could see" the real Maine" she has come to love. I saw my first Moose ever while driving to Spencer's Pond!!! When we arrived the Camp was quiet and quaint. We were given a personal greeting and a tour of our cabin. The cabin was spacious and very clean and oh so cozy! It was very well equipped and had a very warm and inviting atmosphere. We hiked and grilled, sat on the screen porch, and then shared a bottle of wine while sitting in front of the wood burning stove/fireplace while a huge thunder and lightening storm gave us a show. In the a.m. we took a paddle and investigated the shore line and beaver damn. A great 24 hour get away. I would recommend this place with out hesitation.

Room Tip: Loved Cricket, a great view to the pond.
