We stayed in a balcony room right on the water. The room was spacious, bright, and clean. The location is close to town but not in town. They offer free canoe use which would be great in the summer. The view from the balcony was great, a float plane docked across the way and a clear view of the lake which is huge btw. There are numerous gas grilles located in the yard if you care to grille your own meals. They offer free wifi and the signal was good even as far from the office that we were.

The room has a refrigerator, 2 queen beds, and a 1990 25" TV with about 36 channels and a cheesy remote. One complaint that I had is the noise anytime someone close to you ran water. Apparently the pressure is pretty high and the pipes are pretty loud when you or your neighbor run water. The drapes do not block out the light well so be prepared to rise early. The small refrigerator in the room was kind of noisy too. The ice machine is located in the main office, a little hike from where we are.

Over all not a bad place, good view, clean, we'll maintained, and conveniently located. The owners can help you with site seeing suggestions and advice. If you're not looking for super expensive accommodations, I'd recommend Chalet Moosehead Motel.

Room Tip: The balcony rooms ire in a building closest to the water and it appears to be a slightly newer building.

We had a room with a private deck that overlooked the lake. Beautiful view and the room was very clean. The front desk was helpful and referred us to a good place to eat in town. The hotel is close to town and shopping also. The room price was reasonable. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here on our next visit.

Had a pet so probably didn't get the best room. It was dirty and old. Very nice view and free paddleboats. Owner/Manager was not at all friendly. Doesn't she read these reviews? It's an ok value. Could be better.

Took a trip to Moosehead Lake to check the area out. Found this motel to stay at rooms are a little dated but very clean and nice. View in the evening over the lake was priceless. The next morning there was a loon on the lake calling it doesnt get any better than that. Will stay there again

You can definitely find fancier, more spacious and luxurious lakefront accommodations, but be prepared to spend 3-4 times as much. This place has very lovely grounds. It is "motel style", but extremely clean, well maintained and all you need in a room. More than 2 people in a room may be alittle tight. We would return.
