Fantastic location, immaculately clean, scrumptious food, and the best Cosmopolitan on the planet! The innkeeper, Linda is kind and attentive. Had an amazing photographic moose safari with Ed, our guide! Can't wait to visit again. This area of Maine is absolutely beautiful

My husband and I went to Maine for our 10 anniversary and we were glad we did! We stayed in the Loon room at the Lodge at Moosehead Lake and loved the view. The lodge was beautiful and the hosts were very accommodating. Linda arranged a fly fishing trip that was the unbelievable. She made sure we had the best guide and it was a great day. Thanks Linda, Dennis and Chole...we will be back!

We host many anniversaries and birthday's at the Lodge and it is always our pleasure to know a guest has selected our inn out of so many to celebrate a special time in their lives.

We have made it a point to make our trips unique and as special as your celebration. Bob Howe is our exclusive fishing and hunting guide. As you learned about his many philanthropic endeavors, you gain a real appreciation for Bob and the area he calls home. He is so good at reading people and designing trips based on their interests and experience levels. Just the kind of service we want all our guests to experience.

Michael made a special comment to me upon your departure. We know you love to travel and never go back to the same place - after all there is so much of the world to see. It is a great complement to know you want to come back here. Happy Travels to you both.

Greenville is pretty far up there for a New Yorker, but it was only 5 hours from Boston. If you want to really get away from it all you might enjoy Greenville--especially in the winter.

I felt like a kid again, doing lots of snow-centered activities.

The Lodge was top-notch, with great views, comfortable beds, good quality sheets, nice sealed-gas fireplace & a big bath.

Given that it was the end of the season, it was very quiet at the lodge. Not ideal if you want to make friends or spend hours chatting. But if you like calm & quiet you can't do much better.

Although this B&B is absolutely lovely, the rooms are beautifully decorated and the view amazing, my husband and I have chosen to stay elsewhere in Greenville this year. As other reviewers have mentioned, our experience with the hosts was sub par, at best. Linda is very likely a kind person, but her people skills left too much for us to be desired. We felt as if we were intruding whenever in the presence of Linda. It was such an uncomfortable experience and we felt as if we were being "watched", as if being scolded as a young child might be. We never saw Dennis, which is equally as strange, unless you count the man bundled up tending to the outside pit, who couldn't be bothered to wave. Our housekeeper, on the other hand, was an absolute delight!! I think she should be the greeter and hostess and Linda should stick to the decorating, as she does have a keen eye. All in all, I'm sad not to feel comfortable enough to return, but I'm more of a "Cheers" person..... I really want to know your name. I'm enthusiastic about the other B&B we will be patronizing....

Since it has been almost one year since your stay at The Lodge, we cannot respond to the specific circumstances you referred to. Of course, we apologize for any discomfort that you felt. Every innkeeper recognizes that a return visit is the best compliment a guest can bestow. We appreciate your compliments about The Lodge and its staff. We are also very pleased that you chose to return to this very special place. Our best opportunity to interact with our guests is the planning and execution of one of the many unique outdoor adventure trips that I have developed and coordinated with our professional guides. Another great opportunity for a “Cheers” person to interact with us and our guests is the special “Safari Camp Dinner” prepared over the outdoor fire pit during the summer. If your return visit to the area is scheduled for this summer, please let us know and we would be happy to invite you to one of these special dinners……at no charge, of course. Just let us know at least one week in advance.

The Lodge at Moosehead Lake is picture perfect down to the last detail. In a panoramic and snowy setting of woods and water wilderness, the comfort and pampering of this inn is beyond measure. In a sophisticated by rustic ambiance, the host and hostess provide a warm and friendly stay .The 600-count sheets to homemade chocolate chip cookies add to the toasty environment.
The host is a creative chef and the hostess can arrange for dogsled adventures, snowmobile traveling, or snowshoe exploring.

It was our pleasure to have you and Dave here for New Year's Eve. We certainly had a fabulous group to ring in the New Year.

So glad you noticed the little extras including the high thread count sheets that are pressed to give a wonderful welcoming feel when you crawl in to sleep. We also offer dual control blankets or mattress pads and warming fireplaces in every room, making the coldest night toasty warm.

As an adventure lodge, we offer our guests unique and special adventures not available anywhere else. Not all dog sledding trips are the same. Next time you can try our Moose Safari and Wildlife trips, perfect for the nature lover.

Our best, until we see you again.

We had the opportunity to spend 5 nights at "The Lodge".. It was evident upon arrival (and throughout our stay) that Linda and Dennis Borris were "born to run a 5-Star 'inn". The hospitality by the Innkeepers/owners (Linda and Dennis) and all staff, coupled with attention to detail were 'beyond' luxurious. Our room , The Baxter, was unique and extremely well-appointed. The rooms came with a mini-refig; a well-stocked Keurig coffee machine ,and was serviced twice daily with fresh towels.
The view to Moosehead Lake from the patio was peaceful. The gourmet food was excellent and the availability of snacks/beverages 24/7 added a special touch\; especially the homemade chocolate chip cookies and scones!

We are beginning to plan our next trip to THE LODGE; as it will definitely become a yearly vaction spot. The peace, the tranquility, and most of all , the service- made this one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations!

Room Tip: We stayed in the BAXTER room-beautiully appointed in the seperate cottage house; however, all rooms...

Thank you Stacey & Becky for joining us for New Year's Eve and extending your stay in the Baxter suite. Because of the limited dining options in the area this time of year, we included breakfast and winter suppers as well as a very special NYE dinner to all our guests. It appears to be very well received and as a result we really get to know our guests even better. Look forward to helping you plan another stay maybe in another time of year. There is so much to do here and the area is truly beautiful - winter, spring, summer or fall. Stay Warm!

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at The Lodge. It was absolutely wonderful. The room was Very cozy and clean. We had a beautiful view off our private deck. We enjoyed playing pool in the game room and the host even set up a fire outside with homemade gram crackers, marshmallows and of course, chocolates to die for, what a treat! Breakfast in the dinning room was outstanding and the view once again was just breath taking. The host set up a moose safari for us, yes we was 5 moose! Even that, the attention to detail was first class. She sent a little table with homemade muffins, juices, fruit and of course linen napkins and tablecloth. This was the best B&B I have ever stay in, and I would certainly go back. It was a great time of rest and relaxation. We came a long from San Antonio and it was well worth it!
