We stayed at Carolyn at Buck for 2 nights in August. It is really a beautiful, quite place close to Acadia, Bar Harbor and other small villages. The scenery wherever you go around is just beautiful and the garden of the house itself has a view to the sea, with plenty of trees and nice spots to enjoy the views.

The house is very comfortable and beautiful. Really at Carolyn and Buck you feel not like at B&B but like at relatives. I do confirm all the good words written by others for the breakfasts which were absolutely gourmet and so beautifully served!

It's a perfect stay for those passing by or visiting Acadia.

Room Tip: We stayed at a Blue room but the view from the Yellow room is stunning!

We stayed here for our trip to Acadia. We usually aim cheap, but decided to endulge a bit. Worth EVERY penny. Beautiful place, delicious breakfasts, and extremely accommodating and nice hosts. Caroline and Buck literally made our trip. They will bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay.

Excellent excellent excellent. Stay here while you still can.

This was the perfect place for us. Very calm serene surrounding with exceptional service. The owners were absolutely fantastic. Every morning we were served an amazing full course breakfast. We could not have asked for a better stay. We have been to many b&b's but this greatly exceeded our expectations.

Although we found it very difficult to find initially it was worth it when we arrived. The location is amazing and the sort of place you could just sit and stare. The fact that the innkeeper has been an interior decorator was obvious as the inside of the house was very beautiful. The gourmet breakfast was different each morning. The only down side was a very poor shower in the bathroom which was hard to get right and then only gave a weak shower.

First of all, the innkeepers were very attentive and clean. I had some of the best gourmet breakfasts of my life. The inn was located on a beautiful peninsula with a private view of water that is fed by Frenchmans Bay. Easy to access conveniences.

My husband and I had the great pleasure of spending 3 nights at the Cottage by the Sea. The setting is simply wonderful...inside and out. A wonderful style B&B that is very warm and relaxing. Have stayed in many B&Bs and never experienced a breakfast meal and setting as gorgeous as Carolyn and Buck provide. Our room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Just a great experience!

Cottage by The Sea was the perfect Bed and Breakfast for our vacation to Down East Maine and Acadia National Park! Carolyn and Buck are very gracious hosts who go out of the way to make you feel at home in their beautiful home right on Kilkenny Cove. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious gourmet breakfast every morning! Carolyn is a spectacular chef; we enjoyed gourmet French toasts, waffles, fruit salads, eggs, home made muffins and bread... The list goes on. We had the pleasure in staying in 2 out of the 3 rooms. Both rooms were spotless and updated with a cozy cottage decor. The view of the water from the yellow room is phenomenal! We loved sitting out by the water enjoying a cup of coffee before entering the dining room for casual conversation and a much desired breakfast. The cottage is close enough to Acadia and other attractions while being far enough from the crowds. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Maine!  Michael and Sarah, NJ
