“Such a New England place”

Plain decor, big room, small tables, could be the 1960s. We arrived 10 minutes late for our Open Table reservation and had been booked a 'no-show' and got scolded. Then we were seated and proceeded to have a wonderful meal. Our server was a lady with zest, the food couldn't have been more delicious - the lobster pizza and pot pie live up to the billing, the desserts great, my Beefeaters Gibson was perfection. I'd go again in a heartbeat!

“Great food”

The food is very good here - the sandwiches use real meat not the pressed stuff and you have to try the lobster pot pie

“Only if your in the neighborhood”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013

Went Cat Cora's favorite thing- lobster pot pie.

We had 12:45 reservations. There were maybe 5 tables of customers with probably 20 empty tables, yet the " hostess" had us wait in the lobby for 10 minutes until our rest time. Ok- fine.

The pot pie is good, not great, and in our opinion, over-rated.
So only go if you're in the area. Don't go out of your way to get here.

“Best meal ever!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2013

A perfect meal! Started with home-made marshmallows in the hot chocolate -dreamy! Delicious corn chowder, awesome avocado fritters, hot hot hot fresh dinner rolls (crispy outside airy inside). We had the surf & turf & their amazing lobster pot pie. WoW! They obviously take great pride in their cooking. The kids menu is wondeful (even includes a lobster roll option). My kids had quesadilla & salmon. Great fresh healthy food. They do also have the 'standard' kid stuff (mac, burger...) But it was nice to have better options @ kid prices. Dessert comes in 2 sizes (regular & moderation). We had salted caramel home-made ice cream & fried oreos. Both amazing!

Lobster pot pie and the service made it a lovely dinner. Could use a bit of updating. Charming old inn.
