“Charm, location, convenience...you won't want to leave!”
Reviewed 31 October 2013 via mobile

Stayed here as a place to rest and go into mountains to see leaves turning but we found it to be so charming and cozy we extended our stay and never went to the mountains. The room was very comfortable. Not like a 4-5 star hotel but remember this is an old Inn. It's like going to grandmas house. Welcoming, safe, all the food you can eat and feel absolutely spoiled! What a respite!!!! The restaurant was very good and they have a great bar with live entertainment on weekend nights. The breakfast was awesome!!!! The location was premo. Kudos to the staff. Be sure to enjoy the deck with lovely fireplace! Walk to everything!!!! I'm definitely returning here.

Thank you leatVeggies for your review!! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your trip with us so much that you stayed longer than you planned! Our bar is a lot of fun on the weekends. The live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights certainly adds some excitement to the Inn. Our sundeck is Kennebunkport's best kept secret. The outdoor fireplace, fleece throws and heaters make it a desirable location on chilly fall nights. Thank you again for your kind words. Please come back and see us soon!

We stayed in The Kennebunkport Inn last while year on a coachtrip around New England, It was fabulous, the staff were so friendly we got cookies and coffee on arrival , and even though there was a large group everyone was booked in and shown to their rooms very effiently and quickly, the Hotel itself was absolutely spotless and very comfortable, we had a lovely spacious room and very nice toiletries, plenty of hot water and towels, We dined in the Hotel that evening which was delicious, you could tell the chef took a lot of pride in the dishes he prepared, of course we had to try the Lobster which was succulent, sweet and nicer than you could have ever imagined, Breakfast in the Hotel was also delicious with a great range of items, you didn't come away hungry thats for sure. when we arrived back after a trip out there was more delicious freshly baked cookies and coffee again, Alovely gesture that we all appreciated.
We definately have this Hotel on our " Have to go back to " list

Stayed here for just one night at the start of our New England road trip. The hotel is well situated just off the centre of this charming town and we were greeted enthusiastically on arrival. The friendliness continued throughout our stay and we were well looked after. The bar is well stocked with 5 draught beers and the food was good. Breakfast was included in our very reasonable room rate and we'd very happily return here. The only downside - the room was a bit cramped. We didn't unpack as we were only staying one night but it would have been a bit of a squeeze if we had. Having said that, the bed was perfectly comfortable and the facilities were fine. Thanks.

Thank you mandjmitchell for your review. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed our in town location. It's nice to be able to park your car and not have to get back in it until you leave! We do have a thorough deluxe continental breakfast included in your room rate. The breakfast has some delicious offerings, including some hot items and homemade goodies. We do have a very friendly staff, ready to assist with anything you may need. Some of our rooms are smaller than others. We do have a number of room categories to help fit all of our guests' needs. Perhaps, you may have been more comfortable in a spacious Federal or Mansion room. You will have to come back and try one out!!

Spent 1 night in the hotel on a trip to USA & Canada and would recommend it to other travellers. Breakfast was included, choice was excellent and staff were friendly. We stayed in the waterside rooms which would be a bit of a problem walking to breakfast if the weather had been inclement, room was spacious and clean and couldn't be complained about. Kennebunkport was anice place to stay with plenty of lobster spots and shopping.

This is a lovely Inn, located in the heart of town. The people working at the Inn were great, the restaurant was very comfortable with a good selection of foods to enjoy. Breakfast was buffet style and again was very good with both hot and cold items available. Our room rate included the trolley tour of the area which was very educational. Entertainment happened in the bar-dining room area on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and was well attended.
My only complaint was the room we had #222. It measured 10 by 13 with a queen size bed which squeaked loudly every time you moved. Loud enough to wake you up. A small dresser which was broken and you would normally find at the side of the road on garbage day and an upholstered chair. It was very tight. The bathroom measured 3 by 5 with a pedestal sink and toilet. The glass shelf in there wasn't big enough for toiletries so you placed them on the closed toilet seat and took them out when you left. The first time we used the shower you stood ankle deep in water but they did fix it before we next used it.
Maybe it was because we went on a package deal with Jaunt that we got this room but that was my only complaint.

Thank you Murray M for your review. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed our restaurant One Dock, as well as breakfast and our fantastic location. The Inn is in a great spot, right in the center of town, so you can walk to shops and attractions at your leisure. We are sorry to hear that your accommodations did not meet your expectations. The Riverhouse rooms are definitely on the "cozier" side and I apologize that this was not communicated to you at the time of booking. We will see to it that the bureau and the bed are fixed immediately. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. The Riverhouse rooms are expected to get a facelift this coming winter. We hope to address the size of the bathrooms and showers with this renovation. We hope you will visit us again and see the changes!

Stayed here as a first night stop out of Boston on our 2 week New England fly-drive. Our tour itinerary dictated that we only had the 1 night here, big mistake would have loved more time. The Inn was superb, beautifully appointed with extremely friendly and helpful staff, a great first impression of N.E. We dropped our cases off in the lovely room and headed straight into the bar to benefit from the last 20 minutes of 'happy hour'- a great deal, nice atmosphere in the bar with friendly bar tenders. The Inn is perfectly placed for a short walk into the main part of town which we also loved as much as the Inn. A big plus was the excellent buffet breakfast, probably the best we had on our trip, a really good choice of quality prepared food. In short could not fault anything about this Inn, we were even fortunate to have such lovely weather we could sit out on the deck with a glass of wine during the evening. We would definately make this a longer stop if we come to N.E. again which we certainly hope to do.

A lovely Inn, and a great reception on arrival from receptionist Morgan, who couldn't have been more helpful She recommended a good Lobster restaurant nearby, and booked a table there for us. Public rooms very impressive, as was the bedroom with a large and very comfortable bed. We were there on a Friday so there was a piano player in the bar which created a good atmosphere. Breakfast was buffet-style, with a good selection of hot and cold items and fruit. The Inn is ideally situated in the centre of Kennebunkport, with everything within a fairly short walking distance.

Thank you JRH53 for your review. Morgan is a gem and we are lucky to have her! Sounds like she recommended David's restaurant. They are new this year and have a fantastic menu! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your meal. Our guest rooms are quite comfortable. Glad you were able to have a great night's sleep after enjoying yourself in the pub and our piano bar. If your travels ever bring you back to the states, we would love to welcome you back!
