First of all I want to warn hardworking people to think twice about spending hard earned dollars to stay here for a vacation.Standing in the lobby looking at the old outdated leather furniture, dirty old rugs, messy disorganized front desk, and curt disheveled, unprofessional looking receptionist,I knew this wasn't going to be good.Well it was worse than that.Upon entering the room my daughter smelled urine and I smelled horrible body odor with musty ,moldy undertones. The room was described as recently renovated. The only thing that was done over was newer drapes, bedding ( top bedding and pillows stained),faucet (cheap) in bath area was replaced, the whole sink area needed to be replaced, very old and outdated. The room that contained toilet (old, outdated with black discoloration inside at bottom, just disgusting it looked like poop was stuck to area or just mold). The shower was another story.First time taking a shower there was hair in the tub area,so I am assuming housekeeping did not clean the tub. There was no drain catch to bottom of tub, just a gross rubber cover to place over drain when you are showering to collect hair. The shower liner was filthy with mold, just gross. The area with the toilet and tub was very tight, no room to move around. The rug was replaced, but looked dirty and had dark stains, not sure what that was.The furniture was old, outdated and the cushions on chairs dirty. The deck outside our room had old outdated furniture.Paint was peeling on deck, the deck wood was old looking. Not sure when it was painted last. The rugs in the hallway were dirty and outdated. Light fixtures, room numbers were original from at least 40 years ago. Cobwebs in corners of hallway. The door to get into room and to the deck area were original. On back of entry door was stained with filth. The first thing I did was wipe down doorknobs,TV control, faucet handles etc with antibacterial wipes. There is no wifi in room. The AC very loud, old and dirty, don't know when it was replaced last. This room was not worth the money.I was here in Maine for a family wedding. This hotel was recommended to my husband and I. The downstairs area was also old and outdated. The continental breakfast was just awful. It consisted of cereal in plastic bulk containers (not sure how long they were there), coffee, instant oatmeal, fruit from a can, hard boiled eggs, Danish and pastries placed under plastic covers (not sure where they came from or how long they were there) . This is not a resort.Parents be wary of putting your children in the outdoor as well as indoor pool areas. It is safer to go in ocean. These areas were dirty. The outdoor eating area was also outdated, old and dirty.I am so glad we did not eat here. This place reminds me of an old 1970's motor lodge that is trying to pass itself off as a resort. The place is not worth the price for what you get. Please check it out before you book.

We are sorry your weekend was not to your liking. All I can say is that the room you reserved has been in use every day this summer before you came and occupied every day since you checked out. We have not had one complaint. We have almost 60 rooms and the consensus has been enjoyment, comfort, and fun. Having served over 3,000 families this summer, we know we have a great establishment where people can come to unwind and enjoy themselves.

This was a one night stop for us passing through and was fine. Chose it because of the pool and used it evening and morning. Food by the outdoor pool was good. Breakfast could have been a bit more enticing - no hot food. One night was fine, not sure about a week.

We stayed here for a family reunion. Bush home is a mile down the road. clean room. was a little outdated, old. the room door had to be pushed shut good or it wouldn't stay closed. staff was very nice and accommodating. breakfast was good - nothing warm. we ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. Lobster was fantastic! Meeting room was great for reunions. Indoor pool had too much chlorine. It hurt eyes. Outdoor pool was good. We would stay here again. Trolley stop at the front of the hotel was fun. Little tour + getting into town for shops, restaurants.

Room Tip: ask for a renovated room. no elevator.

The good: clean room and comfortable bed, clean looking outdoor pool. Restaurant was low key and friendly. The not-so-good: a bit down in the heels, room door had to be shoved closed. The indoor pool area was so suffocating I couldn't stand to walk through it let alone use it. The free breakfast was laughably bad. I understand why families would stay there, but not much to offer couples.

Thank you for the "good" comments. I know what you mean about the indoor pool. When the humidity is high outside, it makes the pool area seem even more humid. We keep the indoor pool at 82 degrees year round mostly for the swimmers sake. We serve a continental breakfast with yogurts, fruit salad, breads, etc. Many people who like to have a hot breakfast will go to one of the local breakfast restaurants. We will look into the door issue. Thanks for taking the time to let us know.

At the Admirals Table Restaurant you can get great value meals, especially for families. Menu is limited, but Hot Dogs for $3! Grilled Cheese sandwich $3! Quiet little outdoor restaurant and bar, cooking done on the grill by the seating area. Maine Lobster dinners with appetizer and dessert for $30, unbeatable prices. I live around the corner, so did not stay here, cannot comment on rooms. Except to say, that it looks as if all rooms have balconies overlooking the pool. Motel is tucked behind a tiny stone church off Turbatts Creek Road. Close to beaches.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on our Admiral's Table. We hope you share with friends and we hope you come back to see us again. If you didn't try our "fresh" fries, you may want to the next time. We've heard they are the best in the Port.

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Yes, Melony is a gem as is the rest of my staff. Our Admiral's Table is open and running strong.

We actually keep the indoor pool warm for the swimmers after their swim. It stays at about 82 degrees year round.

Thanks for taking the time to write your review. It is very much appreciated.

The staff was very friendly. The pools were very spacious and well taken care of. The Admirals Table was outstanding the clam chowder was amazing. The prices were affordable. When we were here we were very happy at this resort, Kate at the front desk was very very friendly. And it's only 5 minutes away from George W. Bush. Next to their house is a good beach to pick out shells which was fun for us. Other than that it was a great place to relax while the kids are in the pool! The rooms are very nice. There was a tv that worked very well. The maids were very nice by keeping the beds nice and clean. The beds were really comfortable it was like heaven. The kids were very excited to come here. We can't wait to come again!!! (written by my 11 year old)
