Just recently returned from a 2 night stay at the Catain Fairfield Inn, and thoroughly enjoyed it. My husband and I are not really the "Inn" types, but after having read such glowing reviews on trip advisor we decided to give it a try. We could not have been happier with our decision. The inn is just beautiful. All of the innkeepers are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic, excellent gourmet breakfast in a very nice dining room. Our room itself was great, we stayed in the Kennebunkport room, and found it to be private, clean, really just perfect. I would highly recommend this lovely Inn, and look forward to when we can return again.

This is a lovely, lovely place with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (including my own!) The breakfasts were yummy and the attention to detail was outstanding. We were there in February and there was not too much to do, but we relaxed in our lovely room and enjoyed the fireplace and the tranquility. HIGHLY recommend!

We went to the Captain Fairfield Inn for a quiet 4 day weekend in November and were very pleasantly surprised with the friendliness, cleanliness and hospitality extended during our stay. Leigh was very gracious, Rob was the gourmet chef that whipped up incredible breakfasts and the entire staff was very helpful. There are other places to stay in Kennebunkport, but there is no place else for us to stay in the future!

I have stayed at the Fairfield many times under many different owners. The current owners bring caring and energy to the experience. I found the Inn to be every bit as welcoming as in the past. It is so comfortable, clean and bright. The rooms are so homey and the linens are sumptuous! I love it and it is a great place to have a special experience in Kennebunkport. I should also mention the food - Peter does a beautiful job with the breakfast and the presentation is just gorgeous as well as delicious. I have stayed in Kbport many times and the Fairfield has always been and continues to be my favorite. Keep up the good work guys and you will see us again!

What is so special about this Inn is the mood they create. If you have ever imagined owning a home in Maine with the cool weather around you, a warm hearth burning, a four poster bed, a novel waiting to be written or read, then you know the feeling they help create. With this comes all the amenities you might want (but don't need) like DVD in the room, a closet full of films, and cookies in the late afternoon. Highly recommended.

The Captain Fairfield Inn is gorgeous, faultless. A beautiful old building with a very special atmosphere. We had the Captain Fairfield room, very comfortable, spacious, windows on two sides of the building with a lovely view, oldy-worldy charm but not flowery. Gas flame fire (we thought they were an American just for show gimmick but they really work, take the edge off the room and look nice). Fantastic breakfast, beautifully presented and cooked and served by the young, extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable staff in a bright, happy, dining room. Excellent value for money. Kennebunkport too was a little gem. A pretty port with lobster boats and recreational sailboats, lots of small shops, good restaurants (beware of overpriced overcooked lobster). A memorable stay.

We selected the Captain Fairfield Inn based on the write-up in Trip Advsior. This B&B is ideally located close to town so can walk to almost everything. We stayed in one of the King bedrooms located downstairs. The bed was very comfortable, but the room even with a little sitting area is not very big. We loved the breakfast served each morning.......the best french toast with maple icing I have ever tasted. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Recommend if you want to dine in a lovely setting and and dress up a bit, try On the Marsh restaurant. For great clam chowder go to the Arundel Wharf within walking distance from the B&B. All in all a nice stay, but disappointed the leaves hadn't turned colors yet which was the main reason for our visit.
