Upon arrival to Captain Jefffards Inn we were greeted by smiling friendly staff, who took our bags to our room. Our large warm cozy room was stuffed with Birthday/Valentines gifts....from a beautiful bouquet of red roses, cheese platter, our wine of choice and a peraonlized card. That was only the begining, we found a card that read "horse drawn sleigh ride" that we were able to take when we wanted. Sarah set us up with a fun outting to the local brew company, where we recieved a gift bag and free beer tasting! Erik delighted us with a phenominal breakfast to start off our days. The compliments we could pass on here could keep going. Thank you to Sarah, Erik and the staff for a great little escape!

My third trip to the Inn was incredible as usual, but somehow manages to be better than the time before! Eric and Sara are the consumate hosts and the Captain Jefferds is outfitted in the highest quality of everything. Sumptuous bed linens, luxurious candlelit baths and the most elegant gourmet breakfasts make this Inn the absolute best of the best. I will most certainly be back again soon! Thank you!

We stayed at the Inn this past weekend celebrating our 2yr dating anniversary. The Inn is beautiful and everyone is extremely nice. There was coffee, tea, cider, cookies, crackers, bottles or water and soda all available which was a nice added touch. Our room was cozy with a lovely fireplace and the bedding was VERY comfortable! We will definitely be back and would recommend the Captain Jefferds Inn to anyone who is planning a getaway to Kennebunkport!

We spent a 3 night stay at the Captain Jefferds Inn as a New Year's getaway. It was our second winter visit to Kennebunkport and the town looked like a winter wonderland. The Inn was very festive with decorations inside and out. We had the Adare Room on the third floor. Although we had to schlep our bags up 2 flights of stairs, the room was lovely with a king-sized bed, love seat in front of a two-sided gas fireplace and large bathroom with a tub, separate shower and pedestal sink. The breakfasts were really great with a first fruit course, homemade muffins or scones and large main dish of french toast, eggs, bacon or sausage, fresh juice and plenty of coffee or fresh brewed tea. On New Year's Day they had a buffet brunch that was marvelous--enough to fill you up for the rest of the day!

On New Year's Eve, the Inn put on a cocktail party and offered champagne at midnight to ring in the New Year. Our fellow Inn guests were lovely folks, the sort of outgoing people that most B & B's attract. The owners were on premises all the time and had a great staff of people always available to help out or answer questions. There was a more formal living room with a wood burning fireplace that was available for the guest's use as well as an informal sunroom behind the dining room that offered coffee and fresh brewed tea all day. Off the dining room there was an icemaker and refrigerator with soft drinks, water and juice available all the time without charge. All in all, we highly recommend it to folks who enjoy the B & B lifestyle.

Steve greeted us as we arrived and proceeded to carry our bags and make us feel welcome in every way possible. This is an immaculately clean inn. The gathering spaces include a living room with a wood burning fireplace; a dining room with a gas fireplace; and a luscious sun room that you never want to leave with all of todays newspapers (local Maine paper, Wall Street Journal and the New York Times).

Each room warm and comfortable while impeccably designed. Great art work throughout individual rooms as well as public spaces. Artist Edward Gordon painted an image of the sun room with a print of this image in the dining room.

Great breakfast food and conversation.

I will be back....

The Inn was not only beautiful but warm and inviting from the moment that we arrived and were greeted by Steve, who was very helpful and went out of his way to meet our needs. Our room was immaculate! We stayed in the Baxter and it was quiet and clean and very romantic and we cant say enough about the bed! While there we got some snow which was quickly cleared from the walk-ways and even from in between each car. We were treated like royalty and will definitely be back!
