We spent a week night here on 2/19/14. We had a lovely room and bathroom with soft white bath towels and crisp white sheets and warm quilts. We didn't get a chance to use the front sitting room but it was all ready to go with a fire ready to be lit in the fireplace. Breakfast was so delicious. Lisa has several homemade breakfast choices and I wish I could have had one of each. But I had a fresh mug of hot cocoa with almond milk and whipped cream. Then I had blueberry cornmeal pancakes. All of this gave me energy for my 11 mile xcountry ski day. It's a perfect overnight location if you are looking to get an early morning start into any of the Maine Huts and Trails. We will definitely go back.

We spent one night at this B&B. Our bedroom was very comfortable and spacious and Lisa was a great host. Her blueberry cornmeal pancakes were to die for. She had several nice choices for breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay and loved the old farm which is right next to the town.

We booked a room for a weekend as Lisa accepted our 2 Shelties. Upon arrival Lisa and her two dogs greeted us. Her dogs are very friendly and not aggressive at all. Lisa explained the breakfast form and showed us to the room. I asked if there was anyplace that would deliver a pizza? She said there was a place 30 seconds up the road we could call in an order and she would run up and pick it up for us. This was great not having to load the dogs back in the car and go in search of dinner. The room was clean, bright, had enough electric outlets and the bathroom was a very nice size. The house is original thus there is no insulation in the walls. Noise travels very easily throughout the house. We had brought a sound machine and I had a white noise app on my phone. We used both to drown out the sounds from other guests and the outside animals to keep our dogs from barking. The breakfast was good and it was nice to be able to have our dogs with us while we ate.

Lisa was a great host. We showed up an hour early, but it wasn't a problem. The farm was beautiful. We got to walk around the path and see the beautiful mountain surroundings. Our bedroom was very comfortable. It had a great old time feel to it and had jacuzzi tub. We had dinner just down the street and enjoyed our stay. If we lived closer to this place we would visit all the time. The price was right and the french toast and fresh farm eggs were perfect. Thanks again!

Even though there was no storm, we were feeling travel weary and were desperately in need of a place to stop. After trying several 'campgrounds?' without any luck we happened to stop by the local grocery in Kingfield to ask about local accommodations. A very helpful lady recommended Mountain Village Farm B&B and boy were we glad she did. From the moment we appeared unannounced on her doorstep, Lisa welcomed us like a long lost friend and made us very welcome and cozy. Our room was more than we could have asked for on such short notice and we slept like babies on the comfy mattress with very nice bedding. After a nice shower and VERY fluffy towels with even a plush robe if needed, we were Treated to a true farm breakfast. We did not fully understand when asked to choose the breakfast items we would like how PLENTIFUL each one would be. We were a mite embarrassed on the amount of food that was set before us but it was MOST delicious and we enjoyed EVERY bite. (Wish I had some of that homemade granola right now, YUM!) Lisa is a most gracious host and you will not be disappointed you found her. Her home made a wonderful memory on our trip across the Northeast following the Appalachian Trail to meet our sister.

Planning a trip through New England, we found this B & B on the internet. When we pulled into the drive, we were met by Skeeter, the owner's little terrier. He was barking at us, but it was one of those barks that was more of a greeting than a warning, and we quickly became best of friends. His partner, a much much larger dog arrived soon after with a bright yellow tennis ball in his mouth. After a few minutes of tail wagging and patting, their owner Lisa called to us from the garden and walked down in her rubber boots and work clothes. This sort of sums us this B & B, friendly casual and comfortable. This is a small working chicken farm as well as well as a B & B, so don't expect a doorman or a concierge. Lisa however can tell you anything you want to about the area and her recommendation for a restaurant was excellent.

Our room was lovely, a pleasant blend of the old farmhouse with modern conveniences such as a spacious bathroom with whirlpool bath. It was comfortable and the large windows and a fan provided fresh air and a cool breeze to overcome the 33C temperatures of the day.

The breakfast the following morning was great, fresh and healthy. Lisa makes her own granola and was able to provide Almond milk to accommodate my lactose intolerance, and the scrambled eggs were provided by the many chickens wandering the property. The brilliant yellow of the eggs clearly show that these chickens lead a wonderful happy life, eating whatever they like, but I was a bit disappointed that Lisa was unable to find a goose egg she had recommended the previous evening. Skeeter made sure he was close by the entire time, appreciating the occasional head scratch.

Lisa is a real B & B innkeeper, cooking breakfast and chatting about the farm, her family and just things in general, creating a real homey friendly atmosphere. I suggested I will have to return to get that goose egg scramble and to visit the Stanley Steamer museum just down the road.

We had a large upstairs bedroom with a microwave and fridge. Beds were comfortable although fridge needed cleaning. The dogs were very friendly and no trouble. There are also chickens and geese on the farm.

Several spacious rooms downstairs with wood floors and oak beams including a breakfast room. Excellent home cooked breakfast with a choice of items including farm fresh eggs
